Job description

Releasing a Cloud Solutions Engineer IV role with SoCal Gas. This role has 2 openings, and will be opened until Tuesday EOD. We will not be scheduling a spotlight call; but the manager has left additional information on the position. Please email me if you have any questions about the job.

Some Notes on the Role:
  • 2 openings (One will be ABAP focused and one will be Security focused)
  • 1 round of interviews with the host manager and supervisor
  • This role will not convert to FTE
  • First two weeks will be onsite then followed by 1 week each month at the Gas Tower
  • Working hours are 8 AM - 5 PM PST
  • Notes from the manager: Resource will play a critical role in supporting SAP IS-U functionality, developing and maintaining custom ABAP code, resolving production defects, and helping ensure the system remains stable during a fast-paced and high-priority implementation period.
Qualifications<>Must-Have Qualifications
  • 10 years of SAP ABAP development experience and/or Security experience
  • 5 years of hands-on SAP IS-U development experience
  • Strong understanding of RICEFW concepts
  • Hands-on experience with SAP BTP functionality
  • Strong SAP BTP UI5 development capability
  • Major Market Billing experience
  • Print work bench experience
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Supplier to provide laptop

Responsibilities

Level IV: 8 Years of Experience. Responsibilities include delivering enhancements, maintenance, and ongoing support of the SAP ISU environment. Build, configure, tune and implement automation for cloud lifecycle and operational improvement. Support the web interface used by customers to access their cloud environment. Responsible for evaluation, development, implementation, optimization, performance, and configuration of customer cloud environments. Expected to establish and maintain proficiency on emerging technologies through self-study and on-the-job training. Escalate issues and defects as necessary. Work directly with escalation teams (development, network, or engineering) until incidents are fully resolved. Provide routine communication with customers on progress, status, and root cause. Work directly with architects to help reproduce and resolve issues. Knowledge of industry standards and standards organizations (e.g. ITIL, TOGAF, PMP).

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Support SAP IS-U applications throughout go-live, hypercare, and system stabilization.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain custom ABAP code.
  • Build and support RICEFW objects, including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows.
  • Develop and support SAP BTP and UI5 applications.
  • Manage and prioritize technical tickets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and drive defects through resolution against established targets.
  • Collaborate with functional, integration, Basis, security, and project teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Support SAP integrations with external systems as needed.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support activities.
  • Work proactively with minimal supervision while managing multiple critical priorities.
  • Contribute to ongoing system enhancements and technical improvements.
