Job description

Job Purpose

Understand, predict, and enhance material planning using analytical and quantitative methods. Support purchasing, scheduling, planning, and operations by assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations.

Essential Functions

• Coordinate and synergize activities to improve performance in logistics and inventory

• Monitor and evaluate employee performance in logistics and inventory

• Maintain bin counts and reconciliation of inventory

• Serve as a key backup for inventory and logistics coordinators

• Manage freight deliveries and ensure product has been received as promised

• Lead efforts to maintain accurate records in SAP systems

• Manage SAP discrepancies, working with warehouse, production, and controller to coordinate data integrity; correct all discrepancies, coordinating timely ingredient delivery from 3PL companies

• Work with production and inventory to close orders promptly

• Follow up on order process errors; correct errors and work to prevent recurrence

• Perform reconciliation of SAP inventory

• Perform daily SAP transactions

• Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety training; maintain safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and person; and report any injury, accident, or unsafe condition immediately to supervisory staff

• Comply with all food safety requirements, training, policies, and procedures

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 1-3 years of SAP inventory and logistics/supply chain support experience

• Experience with outbound/inbound freight coordination

• Knowledge of business office and supply chain operations

• Knowledge of logistics and transportation

• SAP knowledge including experience with SAP systems and transactions

• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office programs and other computer applications

• Proactive mindset with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Excellent time management skills with the ability to organize, plan, prioritize, and multi-task to complete short and long-term projects

• Ability to work independently and efficiently
