Job description

Role: SAP MDG Technical / Functional Architect - Data Management / BODS / Steward
Location: Phoenix, AZ / Philadelphia, PA
Competencies
Must-Have:
  • Strong expertise in SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) - configuration, customization, and integration
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Data Services (BODS) for ETL, data migration, and data quality management
  • Deep understanding of SAP Data Management concepts including data modeling, validation rules, workflows, and replication
  • Experience implementing and maintaining data stewardship frameworks and governance policies
  • Ability to design and lead end-to-end MDG implementations (Finance, Vendor, Customer, Material domains)
  • Solid experience integrating MDG with SAP S/4HANA, ECC, and external systems
  • Proven leadership in solution design, performance tuning, and issue resolution across SAP data platforms

Good-to-Have:
  • Exposure to SAP Information Steward for data profiling and quality monitoring
  • Knowledge of SAP SLT, Data Intelligence, and Data Migration Cockpit
  • Experience defining and enforcing data governance standards, stewardship roles, and workflows
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with cross-functional teams
  • SAP certifications in MDG, Data Services, or Data Management are a plus

Responsibilities
  • Lead and architect SAP MDG implementations covering both technical and functional aspects
  • Define data governance strategies, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance across business domains
