Job Description

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide support for and coordinate improvements and break / fix issues for the existing SAP suite of applications with an emphasis on FI, GL, FA .
  • Leverage best practices and provide guidance to use the same in SAP solution and service delivery.Ability to establish / maintain credibility and collaborative relationship with the business and functional resources.
  • ABAP Developer will be responsible for: Code reviews, Troubleshooting issues, Resolving trouble tickets, Maintaining development standards, Resolving SAP performance issues, Timely completions of projects, Liaison between technical and functional teams & Continuous process improvementsAbility to architect and implement of key archiving objects across SAP modules using ADK.
  • Ability to communicate key SAP Archiving processes with the business and other technical team partners.  
  • Ability to communicate key SAP DaRT processes with the business and other technical team partners.  

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

  • Strong knowledge of procedural and object oriented programming techniques.
  • Minimum 3-4 years experience in application development utilizing ABAP/4 and Data Archiving .
  • Minimum of 2 years SAP development experience in ECC 5.0 / 6.0 utilizing the new SAP NetWeaver ABAP technologies.
  • 2 years of recent development experience in SAP FI/GL(New GL)//AM .
  • Experience in researching, recommending, and developing user exits, BADI's,BTE's, Enhancement Points, and using the Switch Framework 
  • Extensive experience in FRICEW objects.
  • Experience in Interfaces-EDI/ALE/IDOCs, RFC, BAPI's 
  • Experience in date Conversions using BAPI/BDC/LSMW. 
  • Experience using ABAP Objects and controls technology (ALV)
  • Experience and proficiency in SAP development tools and technologies such as Webdynpro, WorkflowGood to Have ECC6.0 Ehp6 , BRFplus experience 
  • Extensive experience in Software Development methodologies and the Software Development LifecycleStrong written and oral communication skills and an open communication style.Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong execution skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure deliver quality results within standards and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, should be detail oriented, work in a team environment.
  • Ability to effectively articulate and present complex concepts and ideas to senior IT management, functional and business teams. 
  • Technical/Functional knowledge of the SAP Archiving Administrative functions and the Archiving Develop ment Kit (ADK) and SAP ArchiveLink to all archive functionalities including, Configuration,Tes ting,Storage,Benefit analysis,Infostructures / Partitioning / Indexing.Implementation of BW archiving to near-line storage to include configuration, testing and impact.Knowledge of SAP provided tools to analyze data volume, both at a table level and system level.  
  • Document archiving, retention and deletion policies in accordance to corporate, business and government and country regulations.
  • Solid understanding of SAP database statistics and the ability to analyze growth trends and identify main culprits of diminishing performance.
  • Technical/Functional knowledge of the SAP ECC Data Retention Tool (DaRT) to include all DaRT functionalities including: Configuration,Testing,Storage,Customer Development options,Segments / fields,Views.Document DaRT creation, retention and deletion policies in accordance to corporate, business and government and country regulations.
