Position Overview

Herdt Consulting is preparing to support a large-scale enterprise systems program for the U.S. Navy, delivering mission-critical ERP modernization, and optimization services across its supported commands. This program enables financial, supply chain, and procurement operations within a highly regulated DoD environment, requiring seamless alignment between business processes, technology, and data to ensure compliance, performance, and mission readiness.

The SAP S/4HANA Data Migration SME will lead data profiling, cleansing, mapping, migration, validation, reconciliation, and data quality activities across one or more end-to-end business processes.

Responsibilities
  • Data Transformation: Profile, analyze, cleanse, standardize, and map SAP master and transactional data. Develop mapping rules, crosswalks, transformation logic, and migration documentation.

  • Execution & Validation: Support mock conversions, data loads, pre/post-load validation, and financial reconciliation. Support trial balance validation, KPI reporting, and defect resolution.

  • System Migration: Analyze legacy SAP ECC data and prepare it for S/4HANA migration. Support Business Partner conversion, master data harmonization, and data governance.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with functional SMEs, Integrated Product Teams, and business stakeholders to resolve data issues.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years of SAP functional and/or SAP data migration experience, preferably within the DoD.

  • Platform Expertise: Demonstrated experience with SAP S/4HANA migrations.

  • Core Competencies: Hands-on experience performing data mapping, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation.

  • Technical Tooling: Knowledge of SAP Migration Cockpit, SAP Data Services, MDG, LSMW, and CVI/Business Partner conversion.

  • Clearance: Active Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Process Knowledge: Experience in at least one core end-to-end business process: A2R, B2R, H2R, O2C, P2S, P2P, or Proposal-to-Reward (Grants).
