Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety and sanitation procedures and standards.
  • Wash and sanitize bakery and restaurant containers, utensils, pots, pans, and other equipment.
  • Report any broken tools, equipment, or machines to a supervisor or manager for repair or replacement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

  • California Food Handler Card required
  • Ability and willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus but not required.
  • Ability to read and understand chemical labels, safety instructions, and work-related documents.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for reaching, handling equipment, and cleaning tasks.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, and crouch as needed.
  • Ability to lift and move racks, utensils, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to lift and empty trash containers weighing up to 75 pounds with assistance.
  • Must be able to safely operate and handle kitchen/bakery tools and equipment.
  • Work environment may include exposure to moving equipment, airborne particles, cleaning chemicals, and moderate to high noise levels.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively through speaking and listening.
