Job description

Job Title: Plant Mechanic

Company: Asgard Resources

Location: Bainville, MT

Pay: $30โ€“$40/hr. DOE

Schedule: Full-Time | Steady Overtime Available (typically 5โ€“6 days/week | 12-hour shifts)

About the Role

Asgard Resources is hiring a Plant Mechanic to help maintain and repair equipment at our frac sand processing facility in Bainville, MT.

We're looking for someone mechanically inclined who can troubleshoot equipment issues, handle repairs, and help keep plant operations running safely and efficiently.

This is a hands-on industrial maintenance position working around conveyors, pumps, motors, hydraulics, screens, and other frac sand processing equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant equipment

  • Perform preventative maintenance on conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulics, and related systems

  • Respond to breakdowns and help minimize downtime

  • Replace worn or damaged parts and make equipment adjustments

  • Assist with equipment installation and setup

  • Perform light welding and fabrication as needed

  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks

  • Work safely around industrial equipment and follow MSHA safety procedures

  • Work with operations and management teams to support production

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous mechanic or maintenance experience preferred

  • Industrial, mining, oilfield, ag, heavy equipment, or construction experience is a plus

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability

  • Welding and fabrication experience preferred

  • Ability to work independently and safely

  • Comfortable working outdoors and around industrial equipment

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work overtime as needed

Additional Information

  • MSHA experience preferred but not required

  • Individuals with their own tools and/or work truck may be compensated accordingly

  • Training provided for the right candidate
