Job description

Premier Sand and Stone LLC, a subsidiary of Coyote Rock LLC, home based in Sheridan, Arkansas is a fast-paced and fast-growing Specialty Aggregate company. Premier Sand and Stone is an open pit mine that operates VSI crushers and material separation wash plants focusing on the Golf, Sports Field and Pool Industries. We are currently seeking a full time Plant Operator. The ideal candidate will have some basic knowledge of heavy equipment and aggregate mining. This position is located in our mine location in Kosse, Texas.
Plant Operators are solely responsible for the safe and efficient production of raw aggregate material into finished products. This entails operating a crush, wash, or sand plant by loading material via a loader into a specific plant for it to be processed and then moving finished material to holding locations or loading trucks as necessary. The Plant Operator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the plant they are assigned, as well as assisting in repairs. It is the Plant Operators' responsibility that the equipment is always safe and mission ready. The Plant Operator is also responsible for ensuring their proficiency and knowledge of the safe operation of the equipment.

Principal Accountabilities:
  • Protect company information and trade secrets with utmost confidentiality.
  • Always follow the 7 Cardinal Rules of Safety without exception.
  • Learn the safe operations of the equipment assigned.
  • Operate and monitor crushing, screening, washing, and conveying equipment.
  • Load hoppers and feed conveyors with raw material using heavy equipment.
  • Perform daily safety and maintenance inspections of equipment assigned.
  • Ensure the housekeeping of your equipment is kept in accordance with MSHA and company guidelines.
  • Perform daily start-up and shut down procedures
  • Perform maintenance repairs on your equipment as needed. If assistance is needed, your supervisor will enlist the help of other operators and/or vendors as needed.
  • Perform screen changes.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of plant area by removing raw spillage of material
  • Identify of problem areas of spillage and make repairs as needed.
  • Perform continual quality inspections of finished products
  • Use lock-out tag-out procedures when inspecting and working on or around equipment.
  • Always use safety belts when using equipment.
  • Utilize MaintainX to track all breakdowns and repairs to your equipment.
