Knoxville, TN | Samsung / CTV Web Developer | Full-time
We are actively recruiting a Samsung / CTV Web Developer for our client in Knoxville, TN. This is a hybrid opportunity that will require regular onsite collaboration in Knoxville several days per week. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers passionate about building high-performance video applications across Smart TV platforms. Must have strong JavaScript/HTML5 skills and experience developing for Smart TV ecosystems such as Tizen, webOS, or similar.
Due to client request, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain Smart TV applications across platforms including Samsung (Tizen), LG (webOS), and Vizio (SmartCast)
  • Build applications using JavaScript, HTML5, and platform-specific SDKs
  • Design and optimize intuitive โ€œlean-backโ€ UI/UX experiences for remote-based navigation
  • Integrate video playback solutions including HLS and MPEG-DASH streaming
  • Implement ad tech integrations including SSAI/DAI and analytics tooling
  • Handle platform-specific requirements and integrations (e.g., Samsung IAP, Tizen SDK nuances)
  • Ensure consistent functionality and user experience across multiple Smart TV platforms
  • Optimize performance for constrained, device-specific environments
  • Collaborate with product, design, backend engineering, and QA teams to deliver scalable, high-quality applications
  • Debug production issues, implement fixes, and support release and deployment processes

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of professional front-end development experience
  • 2+ years of experience developing for Smart TV platforms (Tizen, webOS, Vizio SmartCast, or similar)
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and modern web application development (HTML5/CSS)
  • Experience with streaming technologies (HLS, MPEG-DASH), DRM, and video delivery systems
  • Knowledge of remote-based navigation patterns and UX for TV interfaces
  • Experience optimizing applications for performance on low-resource or embedded devices
  • Familiarity with platform SDKs, certification, packaging, and deployment processes
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with additional CTV platforms (Roku, tvOS, Android TV, Fire TV)
  • Familiarity with version control systems (GitHub preferred)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for Smart TV applications
  • Background in advertising technology, analytics integrations, or media/video platforms
