Job description

The Sample Coordinator supports the Integrated Operations Consumer Experience Team within the stability (shelf-life testing) function. Under the direction of the Lab Lead, this role assists with stability project execution, including sample movement, handling, labeling, and documentation to ensure accurate support of internal and external customers. This is an on-site, part-time contract role (20-25 hrs/week, 3-4 days/week, first shift).
Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end stability sample movement between stability chambers, prep labs, and panel staging areas
  • Perform daily sample pulls, inventory management, and sample shipping
  • Monitor and document stability chamber temperatures
  • Use LIMS software to print labels and enter required data
  • Ensure service excellence, reliable operations, and adherence to confidentiality/firewall requirements
  • Follow lab safety standards and support cross-functional needs
  • Perform additional sample handling and laboratory tasks as assigned

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma with 3+ years of related experience or Associate's degree
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and service orientation
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with direction in an agile environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with computer applications and ability to learn new software
  • Comfortable working in varying chamber conditions (warm, humid, cold) and standing for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform routine, repetitive tasks
  • Flexibility with work schedule as needed

Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field, or prior laboratory experience
