Seeking a detail oriented Subcontracts Administrator to oversee the full subcontract lifecycle from pre-award to close out.  This role is pivotal in ensuring that all subcontracts align with prime contract requirements while focusing on flow-down clauses, compliance standards and performance metrics.  The preferred candidate will demonstrate proficiency in federal acquisition regulations and the ability to manage multiple priorities with strong written communication and organizational skills.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will possess a strong grasp of federal acquisition regulations and bring a strategic approach to negotiation, compliance monitoring and cross functional collaboration.  The Subcontracts Administrator will work closely with internal teams to align subcontracting practices with organizational goals ensuring quality, accountability and contractual integrity.

Responsibilities include:

  • Administer subcontracts from pre-award to closeout including assisting negotiations, drafting, executing and modifying agreements.
  • Assist with non-disclosure agreement and teaming agreement negotiation and language modification.
  • Ensure accurate implementation of flow-down clauses and obligations from prime contracts to subcontracts.
  • Monitor subcontractor compliance with applicable laws, FAR / DFARS regulations and company policies.
  • Track subcontractor performance, deliverables and schedules initiating corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain detailed subcontract files and documentation to ensure audit readiness.
  • Collaborate with legal, finance, procurement and project management teams.
  • Support audits, reporting requirements and subcontract closeout.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to subcontracting activities.
Requirements

Requirements:

  • 5 - 15 years of experience supporting subcontract administration activities for government and / or commercial programs, including subcontract issuance, drafting modifications, assisting negotiations and compliance monitoring.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, law / legal studies, acquisition / contract management or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR / DFARS) and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with cost-reimbursable, fixed-price and time-and-materials subcontracts.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Experience working in cross-functional, fast-paced program environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and enterprise resource management systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting government contracts or defense programs.
  • Professional certification such as Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM) or equivalent.
  • Proficient using SAM.gov website, SharePoint and Deltek Costpoint.

Physical Requirements:

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have enough mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weigh up to thirty (30) pounds, as necessary. 

Location/Work Schedule:

This is a remote work-from-home position. While the role offers flexibility, the Subcontracts Administrator is expected to be available during standard business hours and maintain a dedicated workspace. Occasionally, this position may require support outside of regular hours, including early mornings or evenings, to meet critical deadlines or business needs.

Salary Range:

$75,000 to $95,000 / year
