About the Role
Hirsh Industries is seeking an organized, motivated Inside Sales Representative to manage a portfolio of small and developing accounts while supporting the broader sales organization.
This role is a blend of account management, proactive selling, sales administration, and customer support. The right person will be comfortable owning customer relationships, following up on opportunities, closing orders, maintaining accurate account information, and helping the sales team operate efficiently.
This is also a development role for someone who wants to grow a career in sales. Strong performers will build product knowledge, customer relationships, and selling skills that can lead to larger account management and outside sales opportunities as the business grows.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage and Grow Assigned Accounts
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of small and developing accounts.
  • Build relationships with customers and manufacturer representatives through phone, email, and virtual meetings.
  • Make proactive outbound calls to identify opportunities, follow up on quotes, recommend products, and close orders.
  • Grow revenue within assigned accounts by staying close to customer needs and following through on sales opportunities.
  • Build simple account plans and work toward assigned sales and growth targets.
  • Maintain accurate account, activity, opportunity, and pipeline information in Salesforce.
Support the Sales Organization
  • Manage the Sales Support inbox and respond to sales-related requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Calculate, verify, and document special price quotes.
  • Work with dealers and customer service to resolve incomplete purchase orders.
  • Maintain accurate data in Salesforce and customer vendor portals, including pricing, freight quotes, item setup, contacts, and account notes.
  • Prepare sales presentations, provide product information, and fulfill sample and literature requests.
  • Help keep product information accurate across company systems and the website.
  • Coordinate internal meetings, customer meetings, and national trade shows.
  • Capture and communicate meeting notes, action items, and follow-up items.
Reporting and Sales Tools
  • Use Microsoft Excel and other data tools to review sales information, prepare reports, and identify useful account insights.
  • Use Salesforce to track customer activity, opportunities, and account information.
  • Use modern tools, including AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT, to work more efficiently and improve the quality and speed of sales support work.
Required Qualifications
  • College degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Comfortable making outbound phone calls and speaking with customers.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to balance administrative support work with proactive selling activity.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Expertise with pivot tables, vlookups and other Excel related skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior sales, account management, or customer-facing experience.
  • Experience using Salesforce or another CRM system.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn sales data into useful business insight.
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT.
