Job description

Job Title: Programmer 6 (Salesforce Developer)
Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 Months Contract (with possible extension)
- Hybrid Work Schedule (Non-Negotiable): There is no remote-only option
Required onsite days- Tuesdays and Wednesdays
Remote eligible days- Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays

The resource must meet these requirements from the beginning
- Candidates must be local to the Lansing, Michigan area (within 90 miles) at time of submission. This requirement is non-negotiable
Job Description:

As a Salesforce Developer, you'll be comfortable with the development, design, and implement customizable solutions within Salesforce based upon CRM needs for the client team at the client facility.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Hands-on CRM development supporting crisis call workflows for the MICAL (Michigan Crisis Line), including coding and delivering user stories
Work with colleagues, customers, and end users to define technical requirements for new projects and any future enhancements.
Ensure that the technical requirements tie back to the established customer requirements and performance goals and that the technical direction is consistent with the client's long-term strategy.
Take ownership of release cycles to implement and deploy new/updates to existing applications and code.
Has overall technical responsibility for the technical aspects of the project environments
Compile internal development guidelines/standards for the development team and ensure the team is following those standards.
Collaborating with Developers for other systems in order to integrate across the business.
Ensures the proposed solutions adhere to SOM security guidelines and standards throughout the application lifecycle.
Proven record of delivering business value by leveraging technology and an ability to communicate strategic technical concepts at an executive level and be a trusted voice at the decision-making table.
Devise a training plan for the development team for a smooth and successful transition to Maintenance & Operations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated handson experience with Salesforce, including SFDX and the Salesforce Development Lifecycle
6+ years of strong Salesforce development experience
4+ years of experience developing within the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, HTML5, and JavaScript
5+ years of experience working with Service Cloud and/or Health Cloud
3+ years of handson experience with Salesforce Lightning, including LWC
2+ years of experience with API integrations and Single SignOn (SSO) implementations
Experience using Microsoft Azure DevOps or comparable tools for requirements tracking, CI/CD, or release management
Exposure to data migration and/or cloud integration projects
Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and Salesforce Certified Administrator
Preferred Qualifications:
Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II
Additional experience that is beneficial but not required, including:
Experience with Conga and Drawloop
Familiarity with governmental processes and compliance, including prior experience working with FedRAMP compliant tools and environments
