Role: Salesforce QA consultant

Location: Alpharetta , Onsite

Duration: 6+ months

Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases specifically tailored for Salesforce applications, ensuring alignment with Salesforce best practices.
  • Perform in-depth functional and regression testing of Salesforce configurations, including workflows, validation rules, triggers, Apex classes, custom objects, and page layouts.
  • Collaborate with Salesforce developers, business analysts and architects to understand technical requirements and design test scenarios that ensure robust quality validation.
  • Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks for Salesforce using TOSCA
  • Utilize Salesforce-specific testing tools (e.g., Salesforce Apex Test Execution, Salesforce Inspector, Workbench) to facilitate testing processes.
  • Conduct API testing for Salesforce integrations with third-party applications and back-end services to validate data flow and processing.
  • Identify, document, and manage defects in Salesforce implementations, working with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Mentor junior QA team members on Salesforce testing best practices and automation techniques.
  • Stay current with Salesforce updates, features, and release notes to ensure thorough testing of new functionalities and enhancements.
  • Proactively recommend improvements to testing processes, tools, and methodologies specifically for Salesforce projects.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong emphasis on Salesforce applications and implementations.
  • In-depth knowledge of Salesforce architecture and features, including:
    • Apex classes and triggers
    • Salesforce objects (standard and custom)
    • Flows and process automation tools
    • Page layouts and user interface configurations
    • Validation rules and workflows
  • Proven experience designing and executing automated tests tailored for Salesforce environments using automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Provar, TOSCA).
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce development methodologies and best practices, including Agile and CI/CD processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on technical details in a Salesforce context.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer, or Salesforce Certified Business Analyst are a plus.
