Job description


Under limited guidance, work at the business unit level developing the end-to-end solution architecture for significant initiatives in partnership with key business and IT stakeholders.

Essential Functions

  • Exposes current state architecture and identifies options for future state architecture.
  • Works closely with business and IT stakeholders creating solutions that balance competing interests and concerns.
  • Develops plans for and facilitates the migration from current to selected future state by providing technical leadership to multiple initiatives.
  • Mentor those in less senior positions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Specific

  • With limited guidance, you will provide overall architecture/design for Salesforce implementations across multiple strategic initiatives within Sales Technology.
  • Create prototypes and proofs of concept to aid in defining requirements.
  • Map business requirements to Salesforce capabilities, determining when custom solutions are necessary.
  • Lead or participate in the definition and prioritization/scoping of business and functional requirements and project sizing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine the best implementation strategies for Salesforce solutions.
  • Provide conceptual and technical guidance, defining and applying architectural patterns in collaboration with enterprise and solution architects.
  • Develop strategic roadmaps that support the transition to a target future state aligned with business and technology priorities.
  • Analyze complex problems or proposals and provide clear, actionable recommendations for the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise strategies, business objectives, standards, and methodologies.
  • Identify and communicate both strategic and tactical solution options, influencing and negotiating with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Present architecture concepts and recommendations to both technical and non technical executive audiences.
  • Expose current state architecture and identify options for future state architecture.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information Systems, business and/or equivalent formal training or work experience.

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirement.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • General knowledge of hardware, software, and network.
  • Human relations.
  • Communication.
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified Developer 1 and at least one other advanced Salesforce certification.
  • 5 or more years of Salesforce Administration/Development experience including product/solution deployment experience.
  • Salesforce certifications such as: Certified Technical Architect (CTA).  
  • Application Architect / System Architect.
  • Experience with enterprise integration tools (Slack, MuleSoft, Boomi, etc.)
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience leading Salesforce discovery sessions, defining business requirements, writing user stories, and providing detailed system and functional designs.
  • Strong expertise in: Salesforce data model, security model, and sharing rules.
  • Apex, LWC, SOQL/SOSL
  • REST/SOAP APIs and integration patterns.
