Job description

Client need a developer with APEX and Salesforce Integration (REST) experience to create a web service class that will receive a request from their Oracle database, parse the request values, and add this data into a custom object which they will have created. They will also need to write a test class and method to allow the process to be moved into their production environment - which is standard for APEX development. It's a fairly simple application which could get more complicated depending on the requests of the client.
Skills:
  • Capable of translating complex business needs into technical solutions.
  • Define and design scalable Salesforce solutions leveraging native out-of-the-box Salesforce functionality whenever possible.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, including sensitivity to confidential information.
  • Ability to continuously adapt to and learn new technologies as standards, methods, and languages change.
  • Ability to create process flow diagrams and flowcharts using Visio or similar charting tool.
  • Advanced skills in developing applications in Salesforce platform using APEX classes, triggers, controllers, Visualforce, and Lightning components.
  • Advanced skills in developing secure restful APIs using APEX.
  • Advanced skills in implementing integration solutions in Salesforce platform with other Public cloud providers.
  • Demonstrated ability to participate in projects in an agile development environment utilizing Microsoft Team Foundation Server and incorporating Scrum boards, Sprint plans and reviews.
  • Mentor other team members of the development team.

Experience in hybrid cloud architecture using AWS, or Azure is preferred.
Experience:
  • Minimum 4 years' experience developing multi-tier applications in a business environment.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience with Salesforce development creating custom components, extending existing Salesforce features and migrating data from existing RDBMS systems to Salesforce platform.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience with integrating Salesforce with 3rd party apps using web services (SOAP and REST) and AppExchange apps.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience developing applications using the Scrum agile collaboration method.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience developing responsive web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Minimum 1 year experience with Angular JS or any other JavaScript framework.
  • Minimum 1 year experience deploying applications via cloud hosting platforms such as AWS or Azure.
