As a Community & Event Marketer at Standard Metrics, you will play a key role in building relationships with our customers, prospects, partners, and broader entrepreneurial community through high-quality, thoughtfully executed events. You'll be responsible for bringing our community together in person and creating experiences that support our sales, marketing, customer success, recruiting, and partnership efforts.

You'll own external events end-to-end, from early planning and strategy through on-site execution, post-event follow-up, and collaboration with our go-to-market team. This is a highly cross-functional, hands-on role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys seeing projects through from start to finish.

What You'll Do
  • Plan, organize, and execute external events for current and prospective customers, users of our product, and other members of our community
  • Own the full event lifecycle, including concept, timeline, budget, logistics, vendor coordination, and on-site execution
  • Manage all event-related correspondence, including invitations, RSVPs, confirmations, reminders, and day-of communications
  • Partner closely with sales, marketing, and customer success to align events with pipeline development, customer engagement, and partnership goals
  • Collaborate directly with customers and external partners to co-host events
  • Track event details, attendance, and outcomes, ensuring information is accurately documented and shared internally
  • Lead post-event follow-up, including internal debriefs and reporting
  • Build and refine event processes, templates, and playbooks as the events program continues to scale
What You'll Bring
  • 1-3+ years of experience planning, organizing, and executing external events for a B2B AI or SaaS company
  • Ability to manage multiple events, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and customer success teams
  • Willingness and ability to travel to support events
  • A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with strong follow-through
  • Experience working in a fast-paced or startup environment
  • Experience partnering with customers or external partners on events
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, event management tools, Slack, and Notion
  • Experience and creativity around automating operational workflows using AI tools
  • Knowledge of venture capital, private equity, or private markets, and comfort working with VC and investor-focused audiences
