Role Overview
The Lead Salesforce Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise Salesforce solutions to meet complex business requirements. This role provides technical leadership across Salesforce architecture, integrations, and administration while collaborating with crossfunctional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions. The position plays a key role in driving platform strategy, modernization, and best practices within a structured delivery environment.
Key Responsibilities
Salesforce Development & Customization
  • Design, develop, and deploy custom Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components
  • Build and maintain workflows, process automation, triggers, and validation rules
  • Customize Salesforce platform functionality to align with evolving business requirements
Architecture & Integration
  • Define and contribute to Salesforce technical architecture and roadmap
  • Design and implement integrations with internal and external systems using REST and SOAP APIs
  • Ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable integration patterns across the platform
Administration & Platform Management
  • Perform Salesforce administration including user management, security configuration, and data management
  • Manage environments including sandbox configuration, metadata deployments, and version control
  • Monitor data integrity, perform audits, and manage data import/export processes
DevOps & Release Management
  • Support CI/CD processes using Salesforce DevOps tools such as Copado or similar platforms
  • Coordinate deployments, releases, and environment management activities
  • Ensure adherence to development standards and release governance processes
Collaboration & Delivery
Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions
  • Provide regular updates on development progress, risks, and delivery timelines
  • Align Salesforce solutions with broader enterprise and program objectives
Leadership & Mentorship
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers and administrators
  • Promote best practices in Salesforce development, architecture, and governance
  • Support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives
Support & Continuous Improvement
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Salesforce users and systems
  • Stay current with Salesforce platform updates and recommend improvements
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for development and administrative processes
Required Qualifications
  • 8 or more years of experience in Salesforce architecture and development
  • 5 or more years of experience designing and implementing complex Salesforce integrations
  • 2 or more years of experience in Salesforce administration
  • Strong experience with Salesforce Lightning, Apex, Visualforce, SOQL, SOSL, and APIs
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data model, and platform best practices
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with thirdparty applications and services
  • Experience working with DevOps tools for Salesforce deployments
  • Strong problemsolving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in crossfunctional environments
Preferred Qualifications
  • Salesforce Developer and/or Administrator certifications
  • Experience with Salesforce Government Cloud environments
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall development methodologies
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA or similar project management platforms
  • Exposure to Snowflake, MuleSoft, Informatica Cloud, or Tableau
