Job Summary

Job Description

We are looking for a Salesforce/AWS DevOps Engineer for a 6-month contract opportunity with extension. This position is a hybrid opportunity in Trenton, NJ. As a Senior Salesforce & AWS DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing, optimizing, and securing release processes across both the Salesforce ecosystem and AWS cloud infrastructure.
What You’ll Do

  • Manage and optimize established Copado-driven automated release workflows and CI/CD pipelines across Salesforce teams to ensure efficient, timely deployments
  • Understand the Salesforce Meta-data , merge conflicts management using git & Salesforce
  • Implement Quality gates for Security, Test Coverage and other best practices
  • Implement Change governance and communication for Shared Production infrastructure with multiple independent internal teams and vendors
  • Develop and enforce version control and branching strategies using Git and Copado to maintain consistency across all environment phases
  • Architect, provision, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using Terraform to support enterprise environments and applications
  • Design and manage cloud-native CI/CD pipelines using AWS DevOps tools or Jenkins to automate application and infrastructure provisioning
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to integrate automated testing into both the Copado and AWS pipelines, ensuring high code quality
  • Monitor system performance using Salesforce tools and AWS monitoring services, proactively identifying and resolving operational bottlenecks
  • Maintain documentation for release processes, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform configurations, and cloud environments to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing
  • Stay updated on industry trends and DevOps best practices across both SaaS and public cloud ecosystems to continuously improve release efficiency
  • Required Proficiency in Copado and automated Salesforce release management
  • Proficiency in AWS DevOps tools, services, and cloud infrastructure management
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) utilizing Terraform and Jenkins pipelines
  • Familiarity with tools like Jenkins, Terraform
  • Proficiency in AWS DevOps tools and infrastructure management

What You’ll Need
Required

  • 10+ years of Enterprise DevOps Experience (SaaS & Cloud ecosystems)
  • 5+ years of experience understanding the Salesforce meta-data for Change and Release using SFDX, Copado and Git
  • 5+ years of experience with Copado & Automated Salesforce Release Management
  • 7+ years of experience with AWS DevOps Tools, Services & Cloud Architecture
  • 7+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) utilizing Terraform
  • 7+ years of CI/CD Pipeline Orchestration via Jenkins or AWS CodePipeline experience
  • 7+ years of Scripting & Automation experience (Python, Bash, or similar)
  • 7+ years of Git Version Control & Branching Strategies experience

Preferred

  • 7+ years of Containerization (Docker, ECS/EKS) experience
  • Agile/Scrum Framework Methodology experience
  • Strong scripting capabilities (Python, Bash, or similar) to automate operational workflows

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
