Job Description

As the Team Manager of Renewals for AMER at Copado, you will oversee a team of Renewals Managers who are the primary commercial advocates for our customers, ensuring successful revenue retention and customer expansion. You will be responsible for guiding your team to foster long-term customer relationships, ensuring they our mission to make maximum commercial value from our platform. Your leadership will be crucial in driving renewals strategies, mitigating churn risks, and demonstrating customer value. By mentoring your team and optimizing commercial retention strategies, you will play a key role in achieving our mission of making release days obsolete.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of AMER Renewals Managers, ensuring they have the guidance and resources necessary to excel in their roles.
  • Drive the strategic direction of the renewals team, setting clear objectives and key results for retention and expansion that align with Copadoโ€™s business goals.
  • Monitor team performance, providing regular feedback and coaching to enhance individual and group productivity.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by refining commercial engagement processes and implementing best practices in renewals management.
  • Collaborate with crossโ€‘functional teams, including Sales, Customer Success, and Product, to ensure a cohesive customer journey and to facilitate the resolution of complex commercial or contract issues.
  • Oversee the execution of strategic renewal meetings, ensuring your team effectively uses CopadoInsights data to demonstrate value, negotiate contracts, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain seniorโ€‘level relationships within key AMER accounts, acting as an escalation point for critical commercial issues and renewal risks.
  • Champion customer commercial needs internally, providing feedback to leadership on how Copado can better serve and package value for its customer base.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in leading renewals or sales teams in a SaaS or cloudโ€‘based environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and drive team performance.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Deep understanding of renewals principles and practices, with a track record of achieving high revenue retention and expansion goals.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to grasp complex product functionalities and translate them into commercial benefits.
  • High emotional intelligence, adept at building strong relationships both internally and with customers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in operating renewals on the ChurnZero platform.
  • Background in enterprise SaaS contract negotiations.
  • Familiarity with software development practices and methodologies.
