Role Overview

This is a high-impact, hands-on technical leadership position responsible for executing the Salesforce product roadmap and driving operational improvements. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of developers, administrators, release engineers, and architects within a complex, regulated enterprise environment. This role requires a leader who has grown through the Salesforce ecosystem, understands metadata-driven architecture at scale, and can provide immediate technical credibility to a tenured team. The objective is to stabilize delivery, enhance CI/CD pipelines, and support the replacement of legacy CRM systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a delivery team of administrators, developers, and architects, providing leadership through technical judgment and direct engagement in delivery decisions.
  • Deliver the Salesforce roadmap for Service Cloud and Experience Cloud, translating priorities into sprint-level execution within a pure Agile model.
  • Own the health of the CI/CD pipeline, including the transition from Copado to Git, and drive an increased release cadence from biweekly toward multiple deployments per week.
  • Apply deep knowledge of metadata-driven architecture and platform constraints to prevent technical debt and guide design decisions, challenging historical patterns when necessary.
  • Actively monitor API limits, governor limits, and platform maintenance to ensure deployment stability and manage the three annual Salesforce platform releases.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architect and Identity teams on integrations involving MuleSoft, ServiceNow, and identity federation.
  • Establish and enforce Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs), including security, performance, and regulatory standards for financial services.
  • Develop technical staff through regular 1-on-1s and by modeling engagement in architecture and code reviews.
  • Own production incident coordination and contribute to fiscal management, including budget planning and forecasting.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

  • A minimum of 7 years of technical leadership experience in software engineering.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience developing, configuring, or implementing Salesforce Service Cloud.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience configuring Salesforce Experience Cloud.
  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Salesforce CI/CD pipelines and release management, with a strong preference for Copado and Git experience.

Technical Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to grow through the Salesforce ecosystem; pure project management backgrounds are not a fit.
  • Comfort with source format deployments, automated testing pipelines, and platform integrations.
  • Strong understanding of platform limits, configuration considerations, and metadata-driven architecture.

Other Requirements:

* Must have at least one active, highly technical Salesforce certification (e.g., Platform Developer I/II, Architect track, or Consultant).* Ability and willingness to travel 20% for quarterly PI Planning, leadership meetings, and annual conferences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related engineering field.
  • Experience in complex, regulated environments, preferably financial services.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce data hygiene, including data loading, cleansing, and implementing validation rules.
  • Familiarity with integration patterns involving MuleSoft or Identity platforms such as Okta or ADFS.
  • An active Salesforce Trailhead profile demonstrating continuous learning.

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position is $160,000.00 - $180,000.00 annually. Compensation is determined by a number of factors, including the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The position includes a comprehensive benefits package.

This employer is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or protected veteran status and will not be discriminated against on the basis of disability.
