Summary/Objective

We are seeking a motivated Salesforce Administrator to support our nonprofit’s constituent management functions across our CRM, marketing, and program operations. This highly visible, hands‑on role partners closely with teams across the organization to deliver Salesforce administration, user support, training, and system optimization. The Salesforce Administrator manages day‑to‑day configuration and enhancement of Salesforce Sales Cloud with Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP), Marketing Cloud, and the new Nonprofit Cloud (NPC) including third‑party integrations. This role responds to user inquiries; oversees data management and reporting; and collaborates with stakeholders to automate processes and maximize Salesforce capabilities in support of organizational goals. Reporting to the Senior Salesforce Director, this role translates operational needs into scalable solutions that strengthen fundraising, marketing, outreach, and core program workflows. AmeriCorps and City Year alumni are encouraged to apply.

Role/Responsibilities

  • Provide end‑to‑end Salesforce administration and user support across the organization, serving as first‑level support, managing escalations, and delivering troubleshooting and training as needed.
  • Partner with internal departments and external vendors to translate business needs into system enhancements and scalable solutions.
  • Configure and customize Salesforce functionality—including objects, fields, flows, security, page layouts, and user access—to support operational and fundraising requirements.
  • Perform data management and integrity activities, including imports, exports, audits, cleanup, deduplication, and ongoing maintenance of core data objects such as contacts, leads, campaigns, cases, reports, and dashboards.
  • Design, build, and distribute standard and advanced reports and dashboards to support internal decision‑making and external reporting needs.
  • Test system changes, resolve defects, and monitor platform performance to ensure stability, data quality, and reliability.
  • Drive continuous improvement by automating manual processes, enhancing support workflows, expanding self‑service capabilities, and recommending new Salesforce features and best practices.
  • Contribute to cross‑functional initiatives and strategic planning efforts, promoting adoption and effective use of Salesforce across fundraising, marketing, outreach, and volunteer management.
  • Participate in assigned team, departmental, and organizational meetings and events.

  • Able to design and develop business solutions leveraging Salesforce declarative programming and administration (custom objects, reports, workflows, assignment rules, flows), working with the stakeholders to define requirements, build, test, UAT, and implement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to communicate technical issues to a non-technical audience.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Demonstrated commitment to data integrity and quality control.
  • Capacity to train staff in foundational data entry techniques and use of CRM tools to develop reports and create dashboards.
