Under the general supervision of the Chief Information Officer, the Salesforce Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance, and enhancement of CII's main constituent database, Salesforce. This position will work closely with the CII user community to solve business problems by configuring the Salesforce platform to meet the operational and strategic goals of the organization.
The Salesforce Administrator will assist in building and managing reports and dashboards, overseeing data quality, providing employee training, and implementing new features and functionality as they become available through software updates or enhancements. The Administrator will work with the program managers to develop and document new business procedures.
The Salesforce Administrator understands and assists in meeting budget and services goals, understands the mission and objectives of Children's Institute, and works within the limitations of the Organization's resources, and performs all duties in compliance with agency standards.DUTIES

SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Serves as primary system administrator for the Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud environment

  • Ensures the optimal performance of the Salesforce system and related business processes

  • Manages Salesforce roles, profiles, data-sharing rules, workflows, and licenses

  • Builds and maintains custom reports and dashboards

  • Performs database maintenance tasks, including diagnostic tests and duplicate entry cleansing

  • Evaluates and installs new Salesforce releases, and provides training and support to ensure full adoption

  • Designs and builds new reports and queries for users; maintains and supports a responsive library of standard and often-used reports in Salesforce

  • Handles all basic system administration functions, including application maintenance, modification of page layouts, generation of reports and dashboards, creation of new fields, and other routine tasks

  • Gathers detailed requests for improvements or changes to the system, and implements these changes

  • Identifies, installs, and maintains appropriate apps from the Salesforce AppExchange as appropriate for event management, mass email, document merge, and other functions

  • Automates business processes using Salesforce and other tools where appropriate (e.g., process builder, flow automation, validation rules)

  • Acts as a primary CII liaison with Salesforce Developers and Consultants/Partners that may be engaged to build more complex functionality, reports, or integrations with other systems

  • Trains new users and grows the Salesforce skill set across the organization

  • Documents business processes and customizations made in Salesforce

  • Plans ahead for upgrades, seasonal releases, and long-term projects

  • Participates in CII and departmental meetings and trainings, and represents the department in a professional demeanor

  • Maintains client privacy and confidentiality

  • Complies with the CII Policy and Procedures Manual, Workforce Computer Use and Security Policy, and IT Professional Policy Manual, as well as agency policy and procedures for health and safety standards of all CII facilities

QUALIFICATIONS


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • BA from an accredited university in business administration, general operations management, management science, information technology, statistics, or a related field

  • Three (3) or more years of experience working in Salesforce or other major CRM environment

  • Knowledge of social services and metrics used to measure services delivered, outcomes, and program impact

  • Experience managing large-scale projects and driving change initiatives, including efforts requiring as-is process mapping and the design and rollout of new processes and standard operating procedures

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly and timely with excellent attention to detail

  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with agency stakeholders

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability

  • Possesses a valid driver's license and state-required auto insurance or reliable transportation depending on business needs

  • Sensitivity to service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics

  • Understands CII's basic philosophy and participates fully in carrying out its mission

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Salesforce-certified and/or expertise with Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Excellent computer proficiency and solid understanding of computer applications, data structures, database design, design and implementation of workflows, networking, and user interface layouts

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, etc.)

COMPENSATION:

$84,641.00 USD - $103,262.00 USD

In accordance with California law, the expected pay range for this position is included in this posting. The actual compensation will be determined based on factors permitted by law. New hires will be offered a salary at the starting point of the range to maintain internal inequity and allow opportunity for future salary growth. CII salaries are determined based on comprehensive internal and external market analysis, as well as the skills, education, and experience relevant to each position.
