Responsibilities:
The Salesforce SME supports a government Low-Code/No-Code Salesforce development program, advising developers and government personnel on application creation, governance, architecture, and development within the Salesforce Software as a Service (SaaS) environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Advise government developers on Value-Stream Mapping of user requirements to applicable Salesforce features, ensuring long-term maintainability in a multi-project environment
  • Provide Application Architecture and mapping support, including best practices for structuring efficient application development across multiple Salesforce Organizations/Environments/Instances
  • Guide development pipeline processes, including Development, Testing, Security, and Production environments
  • Support proper environmental governance and application structuring
  • Advise on Software Developer Kit (SDK) development, structure, and implementation as applicable
  • Provide data mapping and Application Programming Interface (API) mapping, and implementation expertise
  • Support business strategy reviews and provide vision, strategy, and best practices for the deployment of Salesforce (SFDC) products
  • Assist with solution and architecture planning, design reviews, and fit/gap analysis
  • Advise on integration strategy, data strategy, organization strategy, and master data management
  • Support security and compliance requirements within the Salesforce environment
  • Provide platform optimization strategy, performance management, and value realization guidance
  • Assist with environment and release management strategy
  • Deliver mobile and web strategy guidance
  • Prepare and deliver monthly program status reports, meeting minutes, briefing materials, and technical documentation
  • Participate in technical interchange meetings, production meetings, and working groups

Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated Subject Matter Expertise in the Salesforce platform and application development
  • Experience with Salesforce Low-Code/No-Code application development
  • Knowledge of Salesforce Software as a Service (SaaS) environment governance and architecture
  • Experience advising on Salesforce development pipelines and environment management
  • Ability to work independently in an advisory capacity without direct Government supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to produce technical documentation and briefing materials.
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Architect, Platform Developer, Administrator, or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with PEO BES (Business Enterprise Systems) programs
  • Experience working in or advising on classified government IT environments
  • Experience with legacy system modernization and refactoring efforts
