Salesforce Administrator in  GAC Savannah


Unique Skills:

As a Salesforce Administrator at Gulfstream, you will work with a blended team of IT professionals and business champions to ensure our organization utilizes tools and capabilities offered by Salesforce effectively and efficiently. In this role, your duties will include configuring and optimizing Salesforce systems, maintaining records, and collaborating with stakeholders to meet organization requirements. To ensure success as a Salesforce Administrator, you should possess extensive knowledge of Salesforce system administration and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
 

  • Ensuring optimal performance and best practices for Salesforce systems and applications
  • Play an active role in the Salesforce design schema changes in support of significant business evolution to support projects and continuous improvement initiative
  • Elicit and document requirements for new functionality requests from a cross-functional team of Salesforce users
  • Participate in the design, documentation, and implementation of specific initiatives to improve data hygiene and security in adherence to Gulfstream policy standards and auditing processes.
  • Improve issue resolution by active assessment and triaging of issues as part of an operational support team.
  • Evaluate and resolve issues for business users managing customer expectations and providing a superior level of customer service
  • Participate in documenting best practices in release management, Salesforce data management, and ongoing improvements to the Gulfstream Salesforce environment.
  • Participate in ongoing Salesforce schema updates and changes.
  • Salesforce release management including Sandbox management, change set tracking, and conflict resolution
  • Research add-on application packages and support ROI analysis for recommendation of applicable programs
  • Support the integration with 3rd party applications
  • Managing Salesforce roles, profiles, sharing rules and groups
  • Develop automation with Flow
  • Development of workflow automation with Flow
  • Preparing reports for the operation team, and other departments
  • Must be a highly motivated self-starter, able to maintain poise under pressure
  • Must be available for on-call rotation after normal business hours and on weekends to monitor and triage issues submitted after hours.
  • Perform peer reviews, debugging and troubleshooting for issue management and resolution. 

Salesforce & related skills

  1. 2-3 years Salesforce experience
  2. Salesforce admin certification preferred or equivalent experience.
  3. Experience working in an Agile environment using SCRUM methodology
  4. Experience working on Lightning page layouts

Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or relevant curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 6 years experience as an IT professional with broad experience across multiple IT disciplines or 4 years specific system configuration, development and deployment experience. Position Purpose: Designs, develops, tests and implements application software including client, server and middleware. This includes designing and building algorithms and data structures and application performance monitoring and tuning.
Job Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions:
  1. Creates software design at the component level based on the application architecture and the detailed business requirements.
  2. Develops algorithms and data structures .
  3. Develops strategies for the monitoring, preventive maintenance and disaster recovery of applications.
  4. Serve as technical expert in at least one application within a portfolio.
  5. Assures that solution designs meet requirements for scalability, performance and quality in accordance with negotiated service level agreements.
  6. Participates in the assessment and resolution of software defects.
  7. Assists project management with the development of work breakdown structures, project plans and skills required. to develop and implement applications.
  8. Participates in design reviews for implementation projects.
  9. Conducts technical evaluations.
  10. Participates in the review, business case development and implementation of software development tools, methodology and software development standards.
  11. Understands IS Security measures and current standards, practices and technology.
Additional Functions:
  1. Serves as liaison with suppliers for sustaining activities. .
  2. Assists with evaluation and recommendations regarding purchased software packages, and supporting services. .
  3. Using knowledge of technology and existing systems, mentors junior staff on building and maintaining application systems. .
Perform other duties as assigned. Other Requirements:
  1. Expert in one or more software development languages.
  2. IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) exposure is desired.
  3. Solid understanding of system lifecycle methodologies, software development tools and standards.
  4. Experience working in teams.
  5. Proficiency with an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) desired.
  6. Proficiency with MS Office.
  7. Ability to solve problems quickly and completely. Ability to identify tasks which require automation.
  8. Strong inter-personal and communication skills; must be capable of explaining complex procedures in writing or verbally. Must be able to write proposals and make presentations to internal customers and professional peers.
  9. Provides technical direction for application development teams.
  10. A Masters degree may be used to offset one year of experience; PhD may offset two years of experience.
A credit history check from a national credit bureau will be conducted for all candidates for this position including new hires and current employees seeking promotion or transfer. This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
