The Sales Trainer is responsible for designing and delivering high-impact sales training that improves seller productivity, accelerates time-to-revenue, and drives consistent execution of Zayo's sales methodology.
This role is highly cross-functional and execution-oriented. You will work closely with Sales Leadership, Product, Product Marketing, and Sales Operations teams to ensure training is practical, relevant, and directly tied to funnel creation, deal progression, and revenue outcomes.
The successful candidate will be comfortable facilitating live training, coaching sellers, inspecting adoption, and continuously refining programs based on field feedback and performance data.
Location: This hybrid work position will consider applicants in the Denver, Colorado metro area or remote work in the continental United States.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Training & Facilitation
  • Design and deliver self-paced, instructor-led, virtual, and in-person sales training programs across Commercial sales segments
  • Facilitate onboarding programs that accelerate seller ramp and reinforce Zayo's sales motions, tools, and value proposition
  • Lead interactive workshops in both a live and virtual environment including system, process and skills training
  • Provide leadership with metrics to help inform performance management of new hires throughout the onboarding timeframes
  • Build scalable, repeatable training programs aligned to Zayo's sales methodology, Reference Architecture, and GTM priorities
  • Develop training assets including facilitator guides, participant workbooks, talk tracks, job aids, and playbooks
  • Ensure training content reflects real seller workflows and integrates with Salesforce, Salesloft, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator and any other technology platforms
  • Gather field feedback to continuously improve training relevance and effectiveness
  • Partner with Sales Ops and Enablement leadership to define success metrics for training programs
  • Measure impact through adoption, seller feedback, and performance indicators (e.g., pipeline creation, deal quality, ramp time)
  • Iterate programs based on business priorities and seller needs

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in sales training, sales enablement, or quota-carrying B2B sales
  • Proven experience facilitating live training for sales teams (virtual and in-person)
  • Strong understanding of consultative selling, discovery, and value-based sales motions
  • Ability to translate complex technical or product concepts into clear, seller-friendly language
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong executive presence and facilitation skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in telecom, networking, cloud, data center, or infrastructure-based solutions
  • Familiarity with modern sales tools (Salesforce, Salesloft, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
  • Experience supporting multiple sales segments or verticals
  • Background in onboarding, methodology rollouts, or large-scale enablement programs

Estimated base salary range: $68,100 - $94,200 USD/annually.

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.
