At Anchor Ingredients, our sales team doesnโ€™t just sell ingredientsโ€”they build lasting partnerships that fuel growth and innovation across the supply chains in the food and pet food industries. Weโ€™re looking for a driven, entrepreneurial-minded salesperson/trader who is ready to outwork the competition and thrives on making deals, spotting opportunities and delivering results.

As a member of Anchor Ingredientsโ€™ sales team, you are the face of our brand. This role blends sales, trading and relationship management to drive growth and profitability across our premium ingredient portfolioโ€”including products produced in our own facilities and sourced from trusted third-party partners. Youโ€™ll be responsible for building and maintaining partnerships with suppliers and customers, assessing risks and identifying market opportunitiesโ€”and delivering a differentiated customer experience that reflects Anchorโ€™s commitment to quality, transparency and innovation.

This is your chance to join a fast-growing, customer-focused company where youโ€™ll have the freedom to run your book of business like an entrepreneur, while being backed by the resources of a decade old company that invests in your success.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Own your business: Source, purchase and sell ingredients within your assigned product group, driving profitability and growth.
  • Build lasting partnerships: Develop strong supplier and customer relationships that create long-term value.
  • Win in the market: Stay ahead of trends, assess risk and act quickly to capture opportunities before competitors.
  • Maximize performance: Manage inventory positions, set sourcing strategies and hit financial targets.
  • Collaborate & innovate: Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless service and suggest new trade opportunities, products and solutions.
  • Represent Anchor: Travel (~25%) to customer sites, trade shows and industry events to strengthen relationships and expand market presence.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience in ingredient sales, trading, sourcing or procurement within commodities, food, feed or related supply chains.
  • Strong contract negotiation skills and proven success closing profitable deals.
  • Entrepreneurial spiritโ€”confident decision-maker who takes calculated risks.
  • Organized, adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal oversight.
  • Experience in import/export environments preferred.
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent communicator who earns trust quickly.
  • Skilled in problem-solving, market analysis and strategic decision-making.

WHY ANCHOR?

  • Uncapped earning potential: Competitive base salary plus commission structure directly tied to your performance. Your results determine your rewards.
  • Entrepreneurial freedom: Run your book of business with the independence of a trader and the backing of a strong brand.
  • Career growth: Top performers have opportunities to expand product lines, move into leadership roles and shape Anchorโ€™s growth strategy.
  • Team culture: Work with a collaborative, high-energy team that has your back and celebrates success.
  • Market strength: Be part of a farm-to-food partner known for transparency, quality and innovation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This role is primarily office and customer-facing, with occasional visits to production facilities where PPE may be required. Travel is moderate (~25%) and includes customer meetings, site visits and industry events.
