Who We Are: M. Flynn has been changing the jewelry landscape in Boston since it opened 20 years ago. M. Flynn designs jewelry including engagement rings and wedding bands in-house, and also carries jewelry from incredible makers like Marla Aaron, Brent Neale, Kwiat, Melissa Kaye and Marie Lichtenberg. With a focus on the country's most wanted designers and M. Flynn's own custom jewelry program, the store serves the modern jewelry customer who mixes high and low pieces and seeks jewelry that fits their personality and lifestyle. We are seeking a full time, on-site professional in the role of:

Project Manager - Jewelry Production Management

The Project Manager will play a key role in overseeing M. Flynn's custom jewelry projects, new product development, and internal production workflows. This position will manage timelines, drive profitability, and work with our jewelry repair specialist to ensure excellence in execution and output. The ideal candidate will possess jewelry experience but bring a strategic mindset, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage cross-functional priorities while keeping a close eye on quality, deadlines, and team communication. The ideal candidate understands this is an on-site role in a retail environment requiring Saturday hours and participation in daily store setup and break down as expectations of the position.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting our jewelers; oversee workflow, priorities, and project alignment
  • Acting as the lead point of contact for production vendors and internal teams to ensure seamless communication and execution
  • Setting and assessing goals and expectations with sales team

Custom & Special-Order Program Management

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of custom and special orders, from initial estimates to delivery
  • Strategically track custom program performance and profitability
  • Track and report on custom order, repair, and production performance, including project timelines, profitability, workflow bottlenecks, and vendor performance

Product & Inventory Management

  • Check in and inspect all inventory with jewelry repair specialist, including incoming packages and product deliveries
  • Receive and process new product and consignment from M. Flynn branded jewelry and designer jewelry

Product Development

  • Work with team and participate in meetings to develop new M. Flynn products, from ideation through production
  • Determine accurate costing and ensure pricing reflects current material and labor costs

Production Coordination

  • Source materials and identify the best vendors for quality and price
  • Review and check invoices and manage vendor relationships, strive to build new connections

Shipping & Logistics Oversight

  • Appropriately ship, insure and monitor all outgoing/incoming packages
  • Develop protocols to streamline domestic and international shipping

Who You Are:

  • Possess some jewelry/retail experience is ideal, as well as demonstrated experience in project management.
