The Public Sector Sales Strategy Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the Global Public Sector Business Unit, the fastest growing business unit at Salesforce. This role is hybrid of traditional jobs in strategic planning, sales operations, finance, and sales analytics - requiring a mix of data analysis, sales optimization and business operational support.


This role will support the Global Public Sector sales organization and be directly involved in driving the continued success of Salesforce by supporting our growth strategy. Sample projects range from the strategic to the tactical initiatives including supporting day-to-day operations, quarterly forecast process, territory planning, and reporting automation.


Deliverables include detailed analytic models, custom performance analysis, building an automated, scalable reporting infrastructure, and packaging findings into presentation-ready content for Salesforce executives. The role requires interaction and trust with various areas of the organization and provides exposure to senior executives.


The successful candidate will have relentless curiosity, strong problem solving skills, great interpersonal skills, and possess a passion for automating everything manual and creating innovative analysis to identify opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage business unit related day-to-day operations
  • Drive the weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecast process
  • Assist in developing and delivering presentations for senior executives
  • Support strategic initiatives such as identifying areas of opportunity or weakness
  • Contribute to annual planning and execution of GTM strategies
  • Automate reporting and build dashboards for analysis using Tableau

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in a sales strategy, data science, management consulting, finance, or product management organization
  • Demonstrated ability to structure complex problems, synthesize information, and develop solutions
  • Experience presenting insights to executives and non-technical audiences around analytics
  • Salesforce CRM experience
  • Professional experience creating Tableau dashboards
  • Proven knowledge with analytics programming languages and/or database management languages including but not limited to Python, R, or SQL
  • Knowledge of Public Sector market is a plus
