ABOUT THE ROLE

Help shape the future of SC Johnson's commercial strategy. Reporting to the Sales Strategy & Operations Director and partnering closely with Commercial Leadership, the Sales Strategy Manager plays a pivotal role in driving long-term sales growth. You'll develop multi-year commercial strategies, lead annual sales planning, and transform business objectives into actionable customer, channel, and go-to-market strategies. You'll also equip sales teams with the insights, tools, and frameworks needed to improve execution, strengthen customer partnerships, and accelerate profitable growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Partner with Consumer, Shopper and Customer Insights team to identify growth opportunities, competitive threats, and customer needs to inform strategic decision-making

Develop a 5-year commercial strategy that supports company ambitions to accelerate profitable growth

Lead the ongoing development and improvement of the annual sales planning process to strengthen alignment, efficiency, and execution.

Develop a roadmap for the Sales organization, ensuring the needed strategic initiatives are put in place to deliver against company 5-year ambitions

Set sales targets by customer and ensure optimal resource allocation to deliver against corporate objectives

Translate commercial strategy into compelling external narrative to win customer thought leadership

Facilitate the development of customer specific strategies, providing insights and data, establishing a common framework and driving the right mindset

Equip account teams with insights and data to strengthen Joint Business Plan with key customers

Identify Key performance indicators and standardize reports to inform strategic decisions.

Identify data, tools and capabilities needed to support sales strategy.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant business experience

Previous Sales Strategy experience required for external candidates

Microsoft Office Tools (incl. Excel and PowerPoint), TPMax (or similar forecasting tool) and PowerBI reporting

Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

Broad knowledge of the different classes of trade with previous experience in Management Consulting or Account Management/Category Management in Consumer products environment

Previous exposure to joint business negotiations

Demonstrated ability to analyze a large amount of data from different sources and articulate clear and concise recommendations

Strong communication skills and demonstrated experience in conveying strategies to senior audiences and cross functional partners.

Demonstrated ability to motivate cross functional team to common goal and influence without authority

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Full-Time onsite role in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin

Travel 10%

Remote work is available once per week for eligible employees after 90-day onboarding period
