The company develops and operates upstream gathering, compression, processing, and fractionation assets, with a focus on safety, environmental stewardship, and community engagement. Initiatives such as zero-flaring, methane emissions reduction, water recycling, and wildlife mitigation help minimize footprint while maximizing long-term value.

Job Summary

The Revenue Manager is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely recording and payment of monthly revenue and related processes for all QB assets, while overseeing the revenue department and managing the work of the revenue accountants. The role also manages and implements acquisitions and sales.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage Revenue Accountants including review and approval of revenue bookings and monthly accruals in accordance with monthly close deadlines
  • Perform lookback analysis on monthly accruals to ensure accuracy of monthly reporting
  • Implement revenue processes which accurately distribute revenue and correspond with the nuances of each asset area, including collaboration with 3rd party marketing to understand gas purchase agreements and fee contracts
  • Analyze data for accuracy, problem solve and implement process improvements including standardized processes where possible
  • Perform analysis on monthly revenue accrual vs. actual to seek process improvements and accrual accuracy
  • Prepare account analysis and reconciliations for revenue related accounts monthly including the production receivable and gathering/transportation holding payable account
  • Coordinate with 3rd party marketing over pricing and volume allocation issues
  • Manage team’s responses to royalty owners’ inquiries in a timely manner
  • Research and resolve revenue accounting issues within accounting software (BOLO)
  • Review Monthly production tax calculations for Colorado
  • Assist with external audit, specifically as it relates to revenue requests
  • Integrate revenue processes around new asset acquisitions including integration into accounting software and manage any asset dispositions
  • Work closely with Production Accounting to create and maintain revenue allocations
  • Assist State and Local tax consultants with preparing the Colorado Severance Tax returns
  • Complete special projects as assigned

Supervisor Duties

  • Manage senior revenue accountants and revenue/regulatory supervisor

Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate’s degree in accounting, business or comparable field is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or comparable field is preferred

Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in Revenue Accounting for Natural Gas is required
  • 2 years of managerial experience is required

Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate well with internal and external colleagues
  • Demonstrate initiative and ownership of responsibilities
  • Ability to manage time and meet deadlines is critical

Specialized knowledge:

  • Proficient with MS Office with advanced proficiency in Excel
  • BOLO software expertise is highly desirable

Licenses/ Certifications:

  • CPA license is preferred, not required

Compensation

The base compensation for this role in this location is targeted between $133,000 and $169,000 annually. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the range listed above.

Work Conditions

Location:

This position is in Denver, CO. Candidates currently residing in locations outside of daily commuting distance will be considered, however, it is the expectation that the selected individual will be available at the work location.

Work Environment:

This position operates in an office environment. This entails working inside an office space wherein employees may be provided a public workstation (cubicle) or private office. From time to time, the role will require field visits where exposure to extreme weather conditions, fumes, airborne particles, vibrations, dust, electrical charges and other unforeseen exposures may be encountered.

Physical Demands:

In the performance of the duties and responsibilities of this job, the employee is required to have visual acuity to operate a motor vehicle and view a computer terminal for prolonged periods of time. While at work sites, the employee will be expected to walk and stand. Individuals might be asked to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and/or crawl. Individuals might be required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. in the performance of this position.

Position Type and Working Hours:

This is a full-time position. Core work hours are from 8:00 a.m.– 5:00 p.m. Monday – Thursday, and 8:00am – 12:00pm on Friday. Employees must be capable and willing to work overtime as required and to participate in occasional meetings, events, seminars, conferences, or other activities outside of typical work hours. Employees responsible for project operations are expected to monitor and, in some cases, respond to emails, calls, or texts outside of business hours.

Travel:

Occasional travel to work site locations may be expected. Overnight stays may be required from time to time for training, seminars, field visits, or visits to onsite locations.
