Job description

GreenMark Equipment is the premier John Deere dealership in Southwestern Michigan and Northern Indiana with 17 locations to serve our customers. Purpose:
Process all whole goods-related sales transactions (settlements, invoicing, delivery receipts, etc.) timely and accurately, assist in ensuring the dealership is utilizing all available programs/discounts, and ensure customers are properly invoiced.
Responsibilities:
  • Verifies the completeness and accuracy of sales information such as customer information, equipment quantity, amounts, and payoff information needed for settlements
  • Processes delivery receipts and warranty registrations
  • Loads and/or verifies retail notes and payoff information on new and used equipment added on the settlement
  • Ensures all eligible programs/discounts are applied to the sale
  • Loads John Deere rentals (including rental returns) into Deere systems
  • Ensures all additional customer purchases are activated (i.e. PowerGard, JD Link, etc.)
  • Records retail notes, bonuses, rentals and other purchase information into the dealer business system
  • Invoice equipment sales and rentals in the business system to customer accounts as needed
  • Reconciles applicable accounts in the general ledger
  • Assists with John Deere inventory audits
  • Represents the dealership as the point of contact for John Deere Financial on settlements inquiries and requests

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
  • Proficient with accounting systems and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), with a focus on revenue recognition
  • Knowledge of agriculture equipment industry a plus
  • Associate's degree with Accounting/Finance/Business discipline or equivalent experience required
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Comprehensive written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Microsoft Office - Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • FileBound knowledge a plus
