Job description

West Central Equipment, the John Deere agriculture and mowing equipment dealer in New Alexandria PA, is seeking someone who has operated farm, construction or commercial mowing equipment and has a basic knowledge of equipment parts. The right candidate has good people skills and the ability to learn about our equipment and replacement parts. West Central Equipment and John Deere provide excellent training and experience for future career growth. High quality customer satisfaction and communications ability is required for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive and sell equipment parts and accessories
  • Deliver parts to service technicians
  • Provide customer service at our in-store parts counter
  • Serve customers who call with parts requests
  • Stock shelves in the store and put away parts in storage areas

  • Knowledge of agricultural and lawn & garden equipment preferred
  • Must be able to operate, or learn to operate, a forklift safely and effectively
  • Must be able to lift and carry 75 lbs.
  • Experience with retail customer sales is a plus
  • Ability to use a point-of-sale computer system
  • Basic computer skills and use of basic software needed
  • Must be willing to download company apps on your personal phone
