Job description

Purpose of the Job: The Sales Operations Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day execution of the Inside Sales function while fostering a culture of accountability across Account Representatives and Account Managers to drive achievement of company sales goals. This role serves as a critical liaison between Business Development and Sales, ensuring effective coordination and execution of new business opportunities.
In addition, the Sales Operations Manager drives operational excellence across the sales organization by optimizing processes, enhancing data visibility, and enabling informed decision-making to support revenue growth. Through strong cross-functional collaboration and disciplined execution, this role ensures alignment from opportunity through order fulfillment.
Reports to: Director Sales Operations
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that the company meets its annual regional revenue and GPM goals.
  • Provide ongoing training and review to Account Representatives (ARs) and Account Managers (AMs) to improve quoting accuracy, consistency, and competitiveness.
  • Review/filter daily RFQs with Account Representatives (AR) and Account Managers (AM)
  • Manage daily work of Account Representatives (AR) and Account Managers (AM)
  • Provide day-to-day operational support to Account Managers (AMs) and Account Representatives (ARs)
  • Analyze dashboards and daily reporting to deliver actionable insights that drive decision-making
  • Be the liaison between Business Development and Sales
  • Standardize work instructions and standard operating procedures for all regions and ensure proper flow downs of sales orders and accurate documentation of related correspondence
  • Act as the primary liaison between Sales and internal teams (Supply Chain, Warehouse, Trade Compliance, Quality, Finance, etc.)
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve end-to-end sales processes (RFQ ? Quote ? Order ? Fulfillment)
  • Lead onboarding and training for sales team members on processes and tools
  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies; drive scalable solutions
  • Inspire and foster a high-performing sales culture
  • Conduct weekly meetings with Account Representatives (AR) and Account Managers (AM) to discuss results, account planning, territory management and/or professional development
  • Attend customer visits or shows as required
