Job description

We are currently looking for a Full Time Dental Operations Manager CNMC to join our Dental Operations Team team located at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center working 7:30AM-4:30PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr.
Summary:
Oversees the day-to-day operations of dental services, including general and specialty care, within the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center. Ensures the efficient operation of the general and specialty dental clinics, provides leadership to maintain high standards of patient care, and ensures regulatory compliance while directly supervising assigned dental staff.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinates daily clinical and specialty functions, ensuring smooth clinic operations
* Participates in personnel management, including staffing plans, recruitment, hiring, and disciplinary actions
* Approves and manages employee time, schedules, and leave requests through the ERP
* Ensures timely submission of staff evaluations, competencies, and Individual Development Plans
* Oversees procurement and inventory of supplies, maintaining cost efficiency
* Manages vendor relationships and ensure timely maintenance and repair of dental equipment
* Manages coordination of orientation for new staff on infection control, safety protocols, and clinic procedures
* Leads regular staff meetings and facilitates effective communication across the clinic
* Ensures adherence to Joint Commission standards and other regulatory requirements
* Develops and leads a Joint Commission readiness program for dental services
* Monitors schedules to optimize patient care, address cancellations, and workflow adjustments
* Addresses and resolves patient concerns to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
* Develops and implements procedures to improve clinic efficiency and foster teamwork
* Supports patient registration and coordinates with MSTs to ensure an efficient and accurate check-in process
* Manages and supports competency programs for support staff
* Ensures compliance with internal and external dental referral program guidelines, developed in collaboration with Medisaw and Tribal Health, by modeling appropriate practices and holding support staff accountable to established procedures
* Supports clinic expansion projects, equipment upgrades, and coordinating with leadership and vendors
* Assists in creating and updating policies, guidelines, and SOPs that support clinic operations
* Represents the dental department in committees and meetings
* Ensures compliance with safety protocols, including the use of protective equipment and procedures
* Participates in community events and public health outreach initiatives
* Coordinates continuing professional education, in-service training, and staff orientation with Operations Support
* Acts as a liaison between dental assistants, expanded function dental assistants, specialty staff, and other units
* Develops and maintains documentation as appropriate - files, logs, records, reports, etc.
* Ensures employees and resources complete assigned training and development
* Maintains knowledge of, follows, and enforces all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines for assigned area
* Develops, communicates, monitors location- or function-specific procedures and guidelines
* Monitors and improves work performance of assigned teams as a whole and as individuals
* Meets goals by establishing productivity, quality and service standards, and identifies improvement opportunities
* Ensures all outcomes and deliverables meet organizational goals, objectives, and quality standards
* Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency
* Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
* Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types

* Graduation from an accredited school of dental assisting preferred

* CN Core Leadership Level 2
* Pass general background check

* This position requires completing level two Core Leadership Training within 24 months of the hire or promotion date.
