Job description

thyssenkrupp integrated its Forging & Machining and Undercarriage businesses to start the new business unit Forged Technologies. With roughly 7,000 employees at 18 production sites in seven different countries, thyssenkrupp Forged Technologies has sales of over one billion euros and operates over 50 forging press lines and more than 150 machining and assembly lines in seven countries. The product portfolio includes undercarriage systems for heavy machinery as well as crankshafts, connecting rods, pistons, chassis products, transmission systems and rotor shafts for the automotive industry.

Sales Key Account Manager for thyssenkrupp Crankshaft Company, LLC in Danville, Illinois

10% travel both domestic and international.

Duties include:

Manage company customer relationships and projects through the implementation of new sales techniques and recommend product/service enhancements; develop and execute sales strategies and build product pricing management; lead negotiations, and draft and sign contracts; coordinate with engineering department to review requirements and develop customer quotes; support forecasting and develop budget; and establish and adjust prices based on monitored costs, competition, and supply and demand.

Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in Industrial, Production, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent foreign degree. 2 years of experience in a product development or sales engineering position, or in a closely related engineering role, in the crankshaft manufacturing industry. Must have 2 years of work experience with each of the following: sales in an OEM environment within the crankshaft industry; educating upper management and customers regarding terms and discounts related to the crankshaft industry; and participating in trade and negotiation techniques within the industrial crankshaft industry.

Salary Range: $111,072 to $123,000 per year.
