Title: Marketing & Sales Enablement Intern ID: 20670 Location: Norman, OK
Description

Marketing & Sales Enablement Intern

About the Role

We're hiring a Marketing & Sales Enablement Intern to keep marketing campaigns moving and to support the sales team. The intern's primary internal customer is sales - the role is built to keep sellers equipped and customer-facing motions sharp.

This role is intentionally flexible. Sales enablement is the anchor, but the right person will plug into wherever the marketing team needs help most that week - content, events, communications, or downstream collateral.

About PCI Energy Solutions

PCI builds the software that runs the energy grid. Our customers - utilities, IPPs, and energy traders across the US, Mexico, Chile, Ireland, Australia, and the UAE - rely on PCI to trade energy, schedule generation, manage transmission, and operate critical grid infrastructure.

We're growing - entering new markets, launching new products, and displacing legacy vendors. Marketing's job is to communicate the value of our software to customer[EM1] , and that requires a team that can move quickly across content, sales support, communications, and events.

What You'll Do

You won't do all of the below on day one. This is the surface area you'll grow into over your time with us. Expect your week to flex based on where the team needs you most.

Sales Enablement

Be the connective tissue between marketing and sales. Make sure sellers walk into every conversation with the right asset, the right message, and the right context.

  • Campaign coordination - help launch and run marketing campaigns that support active sales pushes.
  • Sales-facing collateral - keep fact sheets, case studies and slides current and identify and build new assets.[EM2]
  • Leads reporting - pull and share leads reports after events and campaigns so sales can move fast on warm interest.
  • Voice of the field - capture competitive intelligence and customer feedback from sales conversations and route it into useful marketing inputs (positioning, content, case study leads).
Marketing Support

Plug into the marketing programs that need help. The mix shifts week to week.

  • Events - support INFOCUS (our annual user conference) and other live events: registration, name badges, signage, swag logistics, post-event reports.[EM3]
  • Public-facing AI chatbots - support our public-facing AI chatbots, including the ISO Bot and the M+ Bot - keeping their content current, reviewing queries, and helping improve the experience.
  • Content - research, draft, and distribute blog posts, social posts, press releases, and case studies - including downstream content from INFOCUS sessions and customer wins.
  • Funnel reporting - pull weekly LinkedIn, chatbot, blog, and lead metrics; flag trends; help the team spot what's working and what isn't.
  • AI-assisted work - use AI tools to multiply your output and help the rest of the team do the same.
What You'll Learn
  • B2B marketing in a deeply technical, high-stakes industry - energy markets and grid software.
  • How marketing supports a sales team selling complex enterprise software.
  • How to write, edit, and deliver content that lands with technical buyers (traders, schedulers, risk officers, utility execs).
  • How to use AI tools and automation to do more, faster, and at higher quality.
  • How to run cross-functional work with engineers, product managers, customer success, and executives.
  • The mechanics of running campaigns and events end-to-end.
Who You Are
  • Bright and curious. You want to understand how the business works, not just check boxes.
  • A strong written communicator. You can write a clean email, edit a peer's draft, and explain a complicated thing simply.
  • Organized and detail-oriented. You can hold five things in your head and not drop any of them. Lists, deadlines, and follow-ups don't slip.
  • Unafraid of technical complexity. You don't need to be a power engineer, but you can't be afraid of acronyms like ETRM, RTO, EDAM, OMS - you can read, ask, and learn until you understand.
  • A natural collaborator. You build trust with sales, product, customer success, and executives by being responsive, reliable, and easy to work with.
  • Customer-service mindset. You treat the sales team - and through them, our customers - as your customers.
  • Eager to use AI well. You're excited about leveraging modern AI tools and will help us push the frontier of how marketing operates with them.
  • Looking for a career, not a summer. We're investing in you, and we want you to invest back.
Bonus Points
  • Coursework or prior experience in marketing, sales, communications, business, journalism, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with common marketing and sales tools - CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, content management systems, project management tools, analytics platforms, or design tools.
  • Genuine interest in energy or critical infrastructure.
  • Writing samples - blog posts, articles, ad copy, press releases, school newspaper, anything.
  • Experience running events, clubs, or projects where you had to coordinate other people.
Logistics
  • Location: Norman, OK - open to hybrid or remote for the right candidate.
  • Hours: flexible to the availability of the right candidate.
  • Reports to: Sr. Marketer.
  • Path forward: this is an intern role with a path to full-time. Strong performers may be considered for future permanent roles on the marketing team.
