GENERAL FUNCTION:
Leadership role responsible for supporting the execution of assigned business's Sales performance across the Bancorp. Ensure successful execution of the sales and service processes, including aspects related to the Consultative Sales and Service process, Playbook Execution, Performance Management process, and Talent Development.
Key Partners include: Enterprise Learning, Human Resources, LOB Reporting, One Bank Business Partners, Sales Officers, Sales Managers, Commercialization, and Bancorp Leadership.
Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensuring that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Drive consistent execution of the Consultative Sales and Service process across the footprint. Provide training and sales tools to sales roles (and partners) to support their achievement of goals, capturing market share, and deepening current customer relationships.
  • Ensure proper onboarding, education, and training are established and in place to promote an opportunity for success for new (or new to Fifth Third Bank) sales roles.
  • Partner with Bancorp Leadership and Sales Managers to define and establish the Sales job family, roles, goals, activities and expected outcomes.
  • Develop and establish the use of appropriate sales tools for use by assigned business's Sales team members. Work across multiple functional areas to influence program and process improvements that increase sales and revenue results through improved coaching and sales tools.
  • Develop and implement a process to continually monitor and improve operating rhythms, processes, and sales procedures.
  • Leverage data visualization and narrative techniques to transform complex datasets into compelling, actionable stories that drive strategic decision-making and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensure sales collateral is updated-including stats, industry information, client case studies, and other sales materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, design, and execute internal communications strategies that inform, engage, and align internal audiences.
  • Craft compelling executive presentations that effectively convey key messages and support leadership visibility and alignment.
  • Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for providing employees timely, candid and constructive performance feedback. Develops employees to their fullest potential and provides challenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth. Identifies and develops the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning. Recognizes and rewards employees for accomplishments.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, related field or equivalent work experience
  • 10 years of banking and sales management experience.
  • Previous leadership role in Sales and/or Project Management is a plus.
  • Experience with Data Analysis and Reporting preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to convert strategic vision into a tactical plan, and to execute on that plan.
  • Strong presence and credibility with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and manage talent.
  • Experience operating successfully in a complex, matrixed organization, driving change through influence.
  • Strong sales performance, employing a holistic, partnership-oriented, solution-based model. Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Normal office environment with little exposure to dust, noise, temperature, and the like. Extended viewing of CRT screen. Limited travel including overnight.
