Job description

The Sales Effectiveness Coach provides strategic coaching and consultative support to franchise owners to build commercial sales capabilities and drive revenue growth. This role also leads and coaches teams of commercial sales professionals, focused on commercial sales development, equipping them with the tools, strategies, and oversight necessary to drive execution in an assigned region.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Sales Coaching
  • Partner with franchise owners to develop and implement commercial growth strategies.
  • Deliver coaching and training on the full commercial sales process to franchisees and their teams.
  • Establish key performance metrics to drive sales activity and revenue growth.
  • Develop territory-level sales plans aligned with company goals and track progress against targets.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with each assigned franchise group, focusing on performance, opportunities, P&L review, and continuous improvement
  • Analyze customer data and trends to recommend customer outreach strategies.
  • Serve as a point of contact for assigned franchisees regarding commercial inquiries, including pricing, rebates, contracts, and bids.
  • Partner with Product and Vendor teams to support volume pricing or bid submissions when needed.

Sales and People Leadership
  • Coach a team of franchisees and sales professionals; provide day-to-day direction, monitor performance, and assess productivity progress through available tools (e.g., Salesforce, call metrics).
  • Provide feedback to improve individual and team performance.
  • Foster a high-performance culture through regular coaching, expectation setting, and accountability.

Planning and Program Support
  • Gather feedback from franchisees and Field Operations to improve sales processes, collateral, and tools.
  • Develop and execute tailored commercial market plans for individual franchise partners.
  • Collaborate with Sales Management and peers to align coaching efforts and support broader commercial sales initiatives.
  • Record coaching activity, development plans, and action steps in CRM for tracking and follow-up.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred. Equivalent work experience considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful B2B sales experience using a consultative selling approach.
  • Prior experience in sales coaching, leadership, or team supervision preferred.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and commercial sales strategy.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and overcome objections.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze sales performance and customer trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Highly self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Excel; experience using CRM systems preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% as needed.
