Job description

The View From the Water Tower
The Construction Sales Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, pursuing, and closing new construction and renovation projects. This role focuses on developing relationships with owners, developers, general contractors, architects, and other key decision-makers while managing the full sales cycle from lead generation through contract execution.

Business Development & Sales
  • Identify and pursue new construction opportunities in commercial office, industrial, retail and hospitality industries
  • Develop and manage a strong pipeline of qualified leads
  • Conduct client meetings, site visits, and presentations
  • Prepare and deliver proposals and bid packages
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to close profitable deals
  • Consistent and results driven networking

Client Relationship Management
  • Build long-term relationships with developers, owners (end users), general contractors, architects, and property managers among others
  • Act as the primary point of contact during sales phase
  • Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to ensure smooth project handoff
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat clients

Market & Competitive Intelligence
  • Track market trends, competitor activity, and upcoming projects
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts

Internal Collaboration
  • Work closely with estimating, design, procurement, construction project managers, and accounting department
  • Ensure proposals align with company capabilities, margins, and schedules
  • Support strategic planning and revenue forecasting efforts

What You Bring
  • 3+ years of sales or business development experience in construction or a related industry
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, contracts, and project delivery methods
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to read plans at a high level, understand scope, and communicate process and timeline with support from project management team
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office (Outlook and CRM) along with Excel

Work Environment
