The Opportunity 

Scope of the Position

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our growing team. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong client relationships within the Food Equipment and Refrigeration industry, driving sales growth, and ensuring our customers receive the best solutions for their business needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and grow a strong customer base, fostering long-term relationships with food equipment and refrigeration professionals.
  • Actively prospect and identify new business opportunities to expand market reach.
  • Engage in consultative selling, providing technical insights and product recommendations tailored to customer needs.
  • Conduct regular customer visits to build rapport, identify opportunities, and address concerns.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, attending product and sales meetings to remain knowledgeable about the latest refrigeration and food equipment solutions.
  • Present and demonstrate products to customers, ensuring they understand the benefits and applications.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and customer interactions in CRM software.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets while maintaining a strong gross profit margin.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including customer service, operations, and suppliers, to provide seamless customer support.
  • Participate in annual inventory counts and contribute to operational efficiency.
  • Travel within the territory as needed to service customers and attend industry events.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Business development, preferably in the refrigeration, or food equipment industry.
  • Strong understanding of commercial food equipment and refrigeration systems, with the ability to discuss technical aspects with customers.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and close sales.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented mindset, with a proactive approach to business development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in CRM and productivity software for tracking sales and managing customer relationships.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for customer visits and travel as needed.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced sales environment.
