What you will do in this role

As Database Analyst, you'll be the driving force behind building and maintaining the best contact database in the crop protection industry. You'll own the marketing operations tasks that keep our database (ACE) accurate, current, and optimized to power effective campaigns and sales enablement. This role blends hands-on data management with a test-and-learn mindset; you'll identify and implement new tools and technologies that make our database operations smarter and more efficient over time. As a seasoned professional, you'll also bring best practices and process discipline that elevate how the team manages data.


Responsibilities

  • Source and harvest new contacts to expand and enrich the database
  • Execute contact loads, ensuring accuracy and proper formatting during ingestion
  • Tag and categorize contact lists for efficient retrieval and segmentation
  • Generate targeted contact lists to support marketing campaigns and initiatives
  • Perform ongoing deduplication and data hygiene to maintain database quality
  • Identify and inactivate expired or stale leads
  • Execute record merges in cases of customer mergers, acquisitions, or organizational changes
  • Test, learn, and optimize new technologies and tools to improve database operations and workflows
  • Conduct ad-hoc database analysis and reporting to support Marketing's evolving needs
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, and IT stakeholders to ensure database integrity aligns with business needs
  • Recommend and help implement process improvements and governance best practices
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on database structure, data flows, and marketing operations tools


Required Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5-10 years of experience in database management, marketing operations, or CRM administration
  • Deep proficiency with CRM/marketing automation platforms
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with SQL or data query tools strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale database hygiene, deduplication, and governance initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience handling data consolidation
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights for marketing strategy
  • Experience evaluating and implementing new tools/technologies to improve database operations
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and ad-hoc requests independently
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating across Marketing, Sales, and IT
