Position Summary

Are you a sales engineer with the agility and creativity to drive complex technical solution sales? Can you assess customer IT environments, address technology challenges, and recommend the solutions and architecture necessary to ensure successful adoption and long-term customer success? If so, we want to talk to you.

We're looking for a customer-focused Sales Engineer with strong technical and sales acumen to manage and maintain our Customer Experience Center demonstration lab at our headquarters in Atlanta. In this highly visible, customer-facing role, you will showcase innovative technology solutions, lead executive and customer demonstrations, support solution-selling initiatives, and serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales process.

This state-of-the-art showcase environment features solutions from across multiple retail segments and serves as a key destination for customer engagements. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of experience in retail technology, along with the ability to translate complex technical capabilities into compelling business outcomes for customers.

You'll join a team of experienced professionals and work closely with subject-matter specialists to keep the experience running smoothly and ready to make a strong impression on customers, prospects, partners, and internal stakeholders.

This is a great opportunity for a self-driven, resourceful, technical resource that is excited to build deep technical knowledge across a broad portfolio of solutions.

Key Area of Responsibility include:

  • Manage and maintain the infrastructure that powers the demonstration lab, ensuring systems are reliable, current, and always demo-ready
  • Help structure and organize solutions from different business segments so they can be presented clearly and effectively
  • Support the design and buildout of demonstration scenarios that showcase our solutions using real-world examples applicable to the audience
  • Partner with product and technical specialists to translate complex solutions into compelling, easy-to-follow demonstrations
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure, software, and hardware issues quickly to minimize downtime, especially ahead of scheduled demos or visits
  • Maintain documentation and change control for environments, configurations, and demo flows
  • Continuously look for ways to improve the setup, efficiency, and presentation quality

Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong presentation, demonstration, and communication skills, with the ability to engage technical, operational, and executive audiences.
  • Passion for technology, innovation, and applying technical solutions to solve real-world business challenges.
  • Hands-on capabilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or Engineering field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in customer-facing technical sales, pre-sales engineering, solution consulting, or related roles supporting the sale of software, hardware, and services
  • 3+ years of retail technology experience in one or more of the following: working directly with large retailers as a technology consultant, systems integrator, service provider, software provider or retailer/end-user and/or experience supporting one or more retail segments we serve, including Food, Drug, Mass Merchant (FDMM), Convenience Fuel Retail (CFR), or Department/Specialty Retail (DSR)
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Additional native language skills are an added bonus.
  • Ability to work in our Atlanta office five days per week.
  • Ability to lift 25lbs without assistance.

  • Good communication skills - able to translate technical detail into a clear, compelling story
  • Prior experience in a corporate or enterprise technology setting
  • Effective communicator, can deal with all levels of people from Senior Management down to front line employees
  • Experience with demo environments, labs, or proof-of-concept builds
  • Knowledge of technical concepts related to cloud technologies, APIs, Databases, Data Analytics and Data Warehouses, Scripting/Coding languages, Technical Architecture (Computer/HW, Network, Application), Agile Development, Operating Systems (Linux and Windows), project/program management, Customer Relationship Management, Ergonomics/Human Factor Engineering, Mobile Systems and app development, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Computer vision/AI
  • Preferred experience in the retail technology Industry, specifically the Food, Drug, & Mass Merchant (FDMM) segment, including Point of Sale, Inventory Management, Marketing & Loyalty solutions, fuel and foodservice solutions.
  • Willingness to travel as needed (Travel up to 50%)
