We are seeking a Technical Sales/Application Engineer (Machine Tooling) to lead technical presentations, product demonstrations, and post-installation support for grinding machine products. Our client is a world leader in metrology and they design, manufacture, and market a system that provides a simple and reliable solution for in-process dynamic balancing of precision grinding machines.
 
 
Core Responsibilities
 
  • Technical Sales & Demos: Accompany sales reps to customer sites, deliver technical presentations, and install company products on customers' grinding machines for live demonstrations.
  • Sales Follow-up: Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting to ensure product performance and secure the final sale.
  • Installation & Service: Oversee the setup and fine-tuning of products on-site to ensure customer satisfaction.
 
Qualifications & Requirements
 
  • Education: Technical high school diploma or university degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in the machine tool industry.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual Japanese/English preferred.
  • Work Authorization: Must possess valid U.S. Permanent Residency (Green Card) or a valid work visa.
  • Mobility: Willingness to travel weekly (several days per trip) to customer sites.
 
Preferred Experience (Prioritized)
 
  • Sales, demo, installation, or field service experience at a grinding machine manufacturer.
  • Broad experience in the general machine tool industry and/or metrology industry.
  • Hands-on experience operating or maintaining grinding machines at a manufacturing facility.
