Job description


The Sales Application Engineer II provides pre and post-sale technical service and product support to equipment owners, service contractors, customers, and the outside sales team for the ColdZone, Russell, Witt, and Kramer name brand product lines. Supports inside & outside sales and manufacturing in all manner of technical refrigeration product questions and issues.
This position will support Rheem North America and the Heat Transfer Products Group business unit, located in either Lawrenceville, GA or Scottsboro, AL. This is an on-site position.
Responsibilities
  • Review customer quote requests for Technical Accuracy
  • Assist field organization with rapid and accurate responses to all technical product inquiries
  • Work with Engineering and Quality teams to resolve field problems
  • Assist in developing and maintaining technical literature, IOM's, tech bulletins, etc.
  • Site visits to support product issues or customer requests for HTPG support personnel
  • Support customer visits to the factory, meet with customers and make presentations
  • Some field travel may be required
  • Support and participate in archive team activities in support of all Company departments.
  • Responsible for complying with good business practice ethics and completing government required survey forms
  • Communicate effectively with customers, internal and external via telephone, fax, and e-mail
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Associates Degree or Technical Diploma (2-year) in HVACR curriculum or engineering
  • 3+ years of application engineering experience.
  • Experience in HVACR industry required.
  • Experience in specifying and selecting specific product technologies for building applications
  • Experience working with sales or external customers
  • Ability to find technical solutions to problems and articulate them in written communication (drawings/ specs/ description/ reports)
  • Excellent attention to detail - high level of accuracy is of critical importance
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong organizational skills
    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field HIGHLY preferred
  • Advanced Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Experience with industry specific product design
  • EPA Section 608 Universal Certification
  • Contractor or Journeyman's license a plus but not required
