Genesis Design Center - Design Engineer
WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Design and engineering body structure, advanced packaging for concept programs.
  • Understand the requirements and create feasibility studies based on the US Designs.
  • Foster communication between the Engineering Department in Korea and the US Design Team.
  • Find solutions to help Designers meet the production program engineering requirements.
  • Coordinated with the Studio, completing feasibility studies for interior trim and seating.
  • Create Design Guides for the Studio considering design needs and package requirements.
  • Resolve design feasibility issues alongside the designers for all studio programs.
  • Analyze concepts through both 3D digital simulation and physical prototypes.
  • Study and be aware of New Technologies/Structures that could be implemented into Design proposals.
  • Research new developments in: Platform, Engineering & Emerging Technology that could influence the Design of future cars.
  • Proficient in CATIA V5 generating surface data.
  • Candidates should be willing to participate in a CATIA V5 evaluation that will last about 1 hour.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering
  • 5+ years experience working in Automotive Engineering, prefer Studio Experience
