Job Description
The Global Payments Events team is dedicated to delivering exceptional client events.
As an Event Associate on the Global Payments Team, you will play a key role in supporting and driving the event strategy across North America. In this position, you will work closely with Event Managers and Payments Sales to support the execution and report on the success of events and industry sponsorships.
Job Responsibilities
  • Understand the business objectives and support the Payments Events team in the development of event programming to deliver successful events.
  • Manage pre-sponsorship/event responsibilities can include: Lead invitation and RSVP tracking processes including invitation creation, testing and distribution ensuring timely and accurate attendee communications. Owning RSVP lists from multiple data sources (CRMs and registration portals) to ensure accuracy and completeness (pre and post event). Building and maintaining project plans and operational documents including invoices and budget tracking. Writing and managing internal communications. Building host/sales and speaker briefing documents. Coordinating with content and social media teams on associated marketing materials; partnering with marketing COEs to execute (email, digital, social). Leading production elements such as project plans, venue research and contracting, catering, audiovisual requirements, event collateral creation, name badge production, and packing/shipping.
  • Provide onsite support including: Liaising with venue, A/V teams and speakers. Manage registration
  • Manage post-sponsorship/event responsibilities can include: Drafting materials and participating in debrief calls with partner organizations and the business/steering committee. Aggregating data and analyzing programs for effectiveness and ROI in partnership with the business and marketing centers of excellence (digital, communications, etc.). Analyze RSVP trends, attendance patterns, and engagement metrics to inform event strategy. Finalize event reporting including budget actuals and audit record retention.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills and extreme attention to detail.
  • 3+ years of experience in events marketing.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as hands-on experience with various CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tools.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities; must be able to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic and sense of personal accountability, professionalism, integrity, and judgment.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders
  • Some early mornings, late evenings and travel. ~25%

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
  • Financial services experience is a plus.
