Job description

Basalite Building Products, LLC is one of the largest manufacturers of concrete masonry products in the Western United States. Product lines include structural block, interlocking paving stones, engineered wall systems, retaining walls, ornamental and garden products, and a full range of sack goods. POSITION SUMMARY:Under the supervision of the Office Manager, this position checks the loads of inbound and outbound trucks for accuracy and maintains a list of all vehicles in the yard; and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: General
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Counts and verifies all products on inbound and outbound trucks.
  • Maintains an accurate list of all vehicles in yard.
  • Maintains a line of communication between dispatch and yard personnel.
  • Maintains a proper number of trucks in each area of the yard.
  • Performs truck checks for discrepancies in regard to descriptions and quantities on SAP load paperwork.
  • Confers with Management regarding inventory shortages with scheduled delivery dates.
  • Coordinates with other plant staff for shipment of stock transports.
  • Prioritizes trucks by status, (i.e. will calls, store loads, etc.) with careful attention to delivery times and locations.
  • Assists with loading trucks, as needed.
  • Develops a working knowledge of all products and recommended installation requirements as well as established procedures.
  • Changes delivery notes to reflect loading changes and inventory shortages. Notifies dispatch before truck leaves.
  • Checks and signs all necessary paperwork and ensures that all load counts are accurate.
  • Stops and checks all vehicles / persons entering and exiting the plant, making sure that no product leaves without proper paperwork
  • Checks accuracy of credit tags on all returned product, directing returned product to assigned holding area.
  • Weekly and monthly reporting responsibilities for retention per company policies.
  • Scans and files all required documents and paperwork into SAP, SharePoint and/or other required sources.
  • Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
  • Participates in physical semi-annual inventory counts. Two weekends required per calendar year.
  • Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of administering duties and responsibilities.
  • Predicable and regular attendance is required.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

SALARY EXPECTATIONS:
