Job description

Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a remarkable and guest-focused Audio/Visual Banquet IT Support for Sun Mountain Lodge in Winthrop, WA.

Ensure a seamless execution of meetings, conferences, weddings, and events. This role is responsible for the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of audio/visual and basic IT equipment, while providing exceptional service to guests and event organizers. The ideal candidate is proactive, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, test, and operate audio/visual equipment for events, including microphones, speakers, projectors, screens, and video conferencing tools 
  • Provide on-site technical support during events to ensure smooth operation and quick resolution of issues 
  • Coordinate with event planners, banquet staff, and clients to understand technical needs and deliver on expectations 
  • Troubleshoot A/V and basic network connectivity issues in a timely and professional manner 
  • Maintain and organize A/V equipment inventory, ensuring all items are in working order 
  • Perform routine equipment checks, maintenance, and updates 
  • Assist with event room setup as needed, including staging and cable management 
  • Ensure all equipment is set up safely and in compliance with lodge standards 
  • Provide clear instructions or demonstrations to guests using A/V equipment 
  • Support hybrid or virtual event needs, including video conferencing platforms 


Qualifications

  • Previous experience with audio/visual equipment, IT support, or event technology preferred 
  • Basic knowledge of networking, Wi-Fi connectivity, and troubleshooting 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think quickly under pressure 
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple departments 
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing event needs and schedules 


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (A/V equipment) 
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods 
  • Ability to run and secure cables, climb ladders, and work in event spaces

Salary-$18.00-20.00 Hourly

Insurance: Medical, dental, vision insurance available for full-time employees and their families; Short-term and Long-term Disability Insurance; Supplemental Life Insurance; and Flexible Savings Account

Retirement: After 6 months of employment, employees are eligible to enroll for 401k with up to a 5% company match

Paid Time Off: Vacation Time - 80 hours on your first 3 years of service; Sick Time – 1 hour accrued per 30 hours worked

Paid Holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day
