Job description

About the Role:
Environmental and Safety Solutions, Inc. (ESS) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Safety Associate. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing health and safety practices in accordance with OSHA regulations and client standards.

We are looking for a self-directed, detail-oriented safety professional with excellent communication and computer skills who thrives in a fast-paced, compliance-driven construction environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and deliver new hire onboarding and safety orientation programs, along with ongoing, job-specific safety training as required.
  • Coordinate and lead routine safety meetings, ensuring inclusion of relevant site or facility topics, well-structured agendas, documented minutes with action items, and accurate attendance tracking.
  • Perform daily site safety and health assessments, including general walkthroughs and targeted inspections; document findings, track corrective actions through completion, and maintain organized records within company or client database systems.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of safety incidents, health concerns, and property or process losses; identify root causes and complete all required reporting in a timely and accurate manner.

Minimum Requirements:
  • OSHA 30.
  • OSHA 510.
  • Supervisory (safety) experience preferred.
  • 5-10 yrs. experience in heavy industrial settings, (recent/past datacenter preferred).
  • Bilingual a plus, not required.
  • BCSP level certification preferred, not required.
