VIA is making an impact, and so can you.

At VIA, our mission is to make communities cleaner, safer, and more equitable. We combine industry-leading data protection with the power of artificial intelligence to produce breakthrough solutions for the U.S. Department of Defense, Public Safety agencies, and Fortune 100 companies around the globe. We are proud to support our customers' toughest missions while realizing our own.

GHOST is VIA's flagship AI-powered Public Safety intelligence platform that supports a range of critical security missions. Customers use GHOST to harness agency and vendor data rapidly, accurately, and at the scale needed to protect communities while respecting constitutional freedoms and data privacy. GHOST is CJIS compliant, integrates easily with a growing ecosystem of complementary technologies, and has delivered breakthrough results recognized by policymakers and practitioners at the federal, state, and local levels across the U.S.ย

We believe that to serve the Public Safety community, we must speak their language and understand their mission from the inside out.

As the Director, Public Safety Solutions, you will be the "mission leader" for your territory. Working in partnership with a Director, Public Safety Sales, you leverage your deep industry experience to build immediate trust with end-users. You are a specialist in "the why" of the solution-demonstrating the functional power of VIA's Public Safety application, GHOST, translating user needs into product requirements, and providing the thought leadership necessary to position VIA as the premier choice for Public Safety agencies.

In this role you will play a critical role in the following areas:

  • Market intelligence & product voice: Translate industry trends and user feedback from the field into actionable insights for VIA's product development teams. You are the "Voice of the Market" internally.
  • Thought leadership: In collaboration with your network, develop white papers and presentations to shape industry forums and guide public policy, differentiating VIA as a mission-first partner and innovation leader.
  • Relationship stewardship: Lead the relationship with end-users and product vendors within your territory. You will work closely with VIA's Client Delivery team to ensure customers successfully on-board GHOST andย  realize the mission value emphasized during the sales process.
  • Internal educator: Act as the bridge for non-public safety colleagues at VIA, educating the wider team on use cases, terminology, and procurement nuances.

Requirements

What you will bring to this role:

Required experience and sector knowledge

  • 10+ years of experience in Public Safety (Police, Fire, EMS, or Federal law enforcement) or as a high-level Technical Sales Engineer in the Public Safety enterprise software solution space.
  • An established network within the Public Safety community and a passion for modernizing government technology.
  • A natural communicator who can explain complex AI/Data solutions through the lens of mission success and officer safety.
  • A reputation as a respected and sought-out leader within the Public Safety community, known for professional integrity and mission-driven expertise

Essential skills and abilities

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate enterprise software solution value and concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven ability to develop compelling briefing material and collateral that resonates with the target audience
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to conceptualize and execute effective sales campaigns
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
What does it take to be a successful VIAneer? Let's break it down; our VIAneers are:

  • Firm believers that people should love what they do and are eager to build a culture that enables them to do their best work
  • Creative problem solvers who respectfully challenge the status quo in the pursuit of excellence
  • People who lead discussions with curiosity and value diverse perspectives
  • Eager to explore new ideas, understand the power of feedback, and constantly seek opportunities to grow and develop their skills
