Job description

Title: Safety Manager
Location: Three Forks, MT
Salary: $105k-$125k
Bonus: 10%

What You Will Do:
Reporting to the Safety Director and working closely with plant leadership, this role serves as the onsite safety expert responsible for driving a strong safety culture, reducing risk, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You’ll work directly with employees in the field, provide coaching, and support continuous improvement in safety performance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for safety programs, regulatory interpretation, and policy development
  • Lead and support initiatives that reduce serious injury and fatality exposure
  • Manage compliance with safety standards and oversee field verification of critical controls
  • Deliver newhire orientations, monthly safety meetings, and ongoing training
  • Monitor adherence to safety procedures and report gaps to leadership
  • Coordinate communication of safety information across the site
  • Partner with management to establish safety goals, metrics, and improvement plans
  • Support incident prevention efforts and collaborate with crossfunctional teams
  • Participate in and help lead the site Safety Committee
  • Maintain a strong presence in the field, building relationships and reinforcing safe work practices
Experience Needed:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 4+ years of experience leading safety programs in a heavy industrial or mining environment
  • 2+ years of MSHArelated experience strongly preferred
  • Training or experience in dust/silica and noise sampling is a plus
  • Minimal travel required, with occasional visits to other sites as needed
